I am Belgian. Here in Belgium it's really bad. We pay the number 1 of taxes in the world. And for the rest it's bad as well..... We drown in refugees. to clarify: - 5 shots were fired at Fico, 4 hits - Yes, Facebook confirmed publicly that they deleted shooter's Facebook data and that they informed Slovakian government. They however only did this at night (many hours) after the shooting, once the shooter was IDed.. Another excellent and enlightening podcast, Ania! I live in the United States and cannot imagine that Biden’s current approval rating is anywhere near 36%!!! That is a bogus number cited to bolster his chances at re-election this fall. I would be very much surprised if he could actually garner 25% approval now, and realistically. Probably even lower than that. Everything in our country is falling apart, average Americans are suffering , and the jerk masquerading as our President is completely clueless and unconcerned. Most here want the U.S. out of the Ukraine Conflict, and many are now outraged by the genocide that the U.S. is directly helping Israel to facilitate against the civilian population of Palestine. Biden and his top officials are completely ignoring these facts as well. As to the new “WOKE POLICIES “ being implemented in Poland, it is inexcusable and clearly the wrong path for Poland to pursuing! I don’t imagine that most citizens if Poland are pleased with the direction their country is heading in. With all of the problems the U.S. now has, we are the last country anyone should consider as a role model to copy! It is unfortunate that the West with few exceptions, seems to get further entrenched in ideologies and policies that are counterproductive for its own existence. The level of stupidity being demonstrated in the U.S. and much of Europe, is appalling and indefensible! One wonders how much further into oblivion, the West will descend? It is a most unsettling thought to be sure! i definitely believe Biden’s ratings would be below 36% but what concerns me more is wokeness in Poland! I lived in Poland a number of years so am not indifferent to it at all. The only advantage is that Poles at least will ignore the pronoun dictatorship. I refuse to say “they” to one person as it is plural not singular;) All in all, I agree with Elon Musk! Poland deserves better and should not follow EU directives blindly like many Western European nations already have.

About "they" thingie... Some languages work like that by default. In German, Spanish, Russian plural form of "you" is considered polite speech. Old English had "thou", which is informal, it was dropped out in favor of just "you", which is plural always; notice how we say "you are" , not "you is"... Therefore calling one person "they" is redundant indeed. But the issue woke crowd takes with "they" is that these people don't like to be gender specific in third person: "he went", "she went"... - _they_ don't like the sound of it, _they_ want to remain "they" regardless. The way to piss _them_ off is to call _them_ "it"; according to the rules of English language it is only fair.
