The chips helped clear out the card jams at the drop step, and the game is almost useless without them. It was common to have to wait in line before the change. Now it is quite rare to see someone playing the game. The game is now in my opinion a waste of real estate on D&B's floor.

Just went to 2 D&Bs in TN. Neither seemed to put out more cards or more rare cards. One was 11.7 per swipe, other was 13.4. Usually thise machines are packed on Weds, this time, no one was playing them. My assumption was with the lack of chips, most people felt other games returned more tickets for the price.

I always feel like slow play is better so your coins don’t get stacked. Once the coins stack, you get the cards floating/sliding on the top. It takes longer, but I think it gives you more success.

I get a TON of cards now though. I wish I could get more Tribbles to make sets, but it is what it is. One day I'll get enough Tribbles to make sets out of the 400 other Star Trek cards I have. Your cards look so limited...when I play there are no less than 20 cards just hanging out in every seat. Edit: This is why you have to rapid fire to get things to move at the end...you can't have a flat, low coin count under single cards because they slide underneath.

I got the full set of the Star Trek coin pusher cards yesterday on half priced Wednesdays! There was no prize redemption kiosk so I had to trade my full set of the Star Trek coin pusher cards to the prize shop employee so that she can put 2,500 tickets into my D&B card. She gave me a receipt after that. I checked on my play history in the play card kiosk and i did actually get 2,500 tickets!

I feel D&B took the fact that their chip provider wasn't making them anymore as an opportunity to not only save themselves money but also nerf the pusher a bit. They can't tell me they couldn't find someone else to supply chips. I wonder how many times they will stage rare cards on the playing field per day as I have a feeling they will want to handle how many go into the field themselves. Also, without the chips the cards are pushing different. This does not bode well for the Star trek coin pusher.

The last time we went, there were no tribbles to be found and very few rare cards. Almost no one was playing Star Trek, and this was on a Wednesday. It does not seem like they increased the card dispense rate either. It looks like you got there right at opening, and they seeded some tribbles and limited edition to stimulate play. I would like to see what your location looks like a couple of hours later when the tribbles have been claimed.

Others have commented too and I think it might be true, the lack of tokens slows the push down! Tokens behind the cards could keep it from sliding back. Now that they’re gone … weeeee down the slide they go lol

This is a good question. I’m pretty sure you’d be able to cash them in still. Our D&B still had the scales by the prize center where they weigh the tokens. So I think most locations will. But probably best to do that sooner rather than later!

This was the first coin pusher that I got 3 cards with in a half hour at Dave & Busters. One of them was Spock. It's got a lovely RNG feature for bonus tokens and it grabs attention. I wanted to get into binge watching Star Trek now

We were there at D &B in California and they have it differently. For a set of 8 it’s 2,500, the rare card is the trebble an that’s it. It’s only one set of cards. But very interesting to see in other states it’s different. We completed two sets of 8 am got 5,000 tickets.

The Dave and Busters in WA state use to give extra plays for spins before covid. Once it opened after being closed for a year they now give tickets for the bonus spins. Due to restrictions still in place I have not been in over six months so I have no clue if Star Trek still has chips or not.

Glad those decisions were settled at your church. I know that making decisions within a church can be very hard at times when you have everyone voting on the issues and it is hard to please everyone. That's why it is so important that a church's members be focused on pleasing God and not ourselves. Even so, it is hard making decisions when many people are involved.

Not having the chips on the field would probably be a turn-off for me and I wouldn't play. Unless they made it so you get tickets for the silver tokens that fall over, like with the Spongebob and DC pushers.

I think that the token thing was a bad design. Only for the reason that people have to turn them in. So people must not be turning them in. They should be made to be counted in the game and not dispensed. This no token thing is making these games more expensive to play i.m.o. The players are getting less for their plays.

I have been having very good luck at my local D&B they don't do the different sets they have Halos and regular but all sets are the same mix and match and no chips. But yes the cards have fallen much more frequently.
