Crowdfunded games often come with a reputation for overpromising and underdelivering or sometimes, not delivering anything at all. In my personal experience, I have seen many Kickstarter projects squander the funds and goodwill of their backers. We all know what happened with The Good Life. But buried deep in the haze of pessimism, you may find a shining example of a little project that could. 24 Killers announced and funded in 2014 has finally arrived on Steam's shores in the year 2023. Was this MOON-inspired daily life simulator worth the extraordinary wait?

I remember watching Todd's streams waaaay back in the day when he was designing the monsters and the map in pixelart (the whole game was pixelart at that time). I even suggested some things and he did it! Then he stopped streaming and suddenly, years later, I received an e-mail that the game was released (he had a mailing list). I was so happy about it. I still haven't played it, but will soon. Thank you for covering it!

Really great video, HM. I’m proud to be one of the few “professional” reviewers to have covered this game, hopefully the more people talk about it, the more eyes it gets on it and the more it will sell. Definition of a cult hit imo, really captures the spirit of Moon : Remix RPG Adventure while maintaining its own identity.

oh wow i never knew about this and i love the graphic style and charm it has. gives me chulip vibes but not as frustrating so i will get this for sure. im glad the guy got the game out after so long with a small budget. that is something he should be commended for

MOON Remix RPG is my favorite game of all time and honestly when I played 24 Killers on release it solidified itself as my GOTY. Genuinely think this game is incredible and deserves to be recognized as such so I'm very happy you covered this.

What a cool game and an equally as cool video. Had seen bits of the game but getting to see the development history was wild, what a tremendous amount of determination by a solo dev. I’m excited to see more games that take inspiration from Moon RPG now that it is finally accessible to the general public in the West.
