My oldest brother was chosen to head a government project for major corporation by the corporation. He was born in 1927. The government said he may not be in charge. He does not have the proper education or PhD. Two of the corporate officers and my brother formed a corporation and hired a PhD professor. The professor got the proper PhD by studying the work my brother for the 25 years before the contract. The PhD instuctions. Sign the papers once a week. Make no changes. Get paid and go back to teaching engineering the rest of the week. So instead making $500,000 a year for 3 years. My brother made $36 million for the 3 years work a company stock holder. Plus $100,000 a year as the project manager. Recently for at least 20 years it was even worse. He would have been disqualified because He was a white male with no PhD. What if the government said Wozniac could not design PCs because he had no degree? Well the state of Forney said he could not teach computer science in High School in 1988. But since he could afford it he went back and got a masters, plus the teaching certs.

I think the whole of Canada as the 51st state would be a bit too big. Maybe a division by region. Prairie, Mountains, and the East. Whatever names that would apply. 51, 52, and 53rd states.

I would not make any move on Canada. They have been a reliable ally and excellent trading partner. They can fix their own problems, or continue to live with them. I would throw out the idea of trading Greenland for Puerto Rico with Denmark. Denmark needs a good winter destination, and they could build up Puerto Rico. Greenland has been a wasted nothing under Denmark. The United States would change that.... a LOT.
