The Invincible 46 cat is cutting edge design asymetric designed to turn and avert bow steer like a monohull. You indeed can put an Invincible on autopilot and not sweat it. Its truly like a monohull. Problem is the new assymetrical Invincible cat hull rides rough like a monohull and loses a lot of the smooth ride that the old tech symmetrical hulls like Freeman provide. Freeman has reduced the bow steer in the newer 43 & 47 that was so evident in the 42. That said the Freeman symmetrical hulls require somewhat more pilot attention than the assymetric modern invincible hull, but the difference is reduced in the new 43 & 47. I own an Invincible 42 monohull and I prefer its ride to the Invincible 46 cat. That said I feel that manufacturers are not doing enough with headsea ballast, probably to avert liability if ballast forward is overdone in a downsea. As Michael Peters said to me, "Headseas can annoy you..... following seas can kill you."

Woah, never heard of people being killed doing following seas. Informative comment!

I have developed a new hull form for such a hull. It's a generic hull which has applications for all multis I, though developed it originally for sailing cats. When applied to powercats such as these, it is an asymmetric hull with a symmetric bow. So it would be the best of both. However,I can't get anyone to take me seriously enough to have a look at what I've got. Cheers

All beautiful boats. Wish I could afford one. I watched a video yesterday from someone who bought a new Twin Vee 26(260 SE) and after the first time taking it out he got a lot of cracks in it. Most were superficial but a couple were all the way through. Because it's new I'm guessing they will fix it. From what I've seen on here they are good boats. But for the kind of money they charge that should not happen. I'm guessing it didn't get a good molding on that one or something.

All boats will get gelcoat cracks at some point but if it's the first time out it raise cause for concern probably.

@@CaptPeterson Thanks for responding. I wasn't sure but it seemed odd to me that that would happen first time out. So i figured I would ask an expert. I've only had metal Jon boats and am trying to gather/learn all the info. I can so one day when I can afford a bigger boat I'll have some more knowledge.

@@CaptPetersonAs an 'expert' in composite moulding, I would say the possibility of gelcoat cracks appearing on the first time out is that the hull is experiencing flexing of the composite laminate. And which would mean that it is either spect too thin and needs added laminate thickness in those effected areas. Or that the gelcoat has been applied to thick in those areas of cracking. Laminates can flex. However gelcoat does not flex well if it is applied too much above the tolerant thickness. Cheers

You claim the 47 freeman has dated technology with the hull???? That is a fairly new CAD designed hull by a naval architect....what did you mean by that? I agree the topside could use a refresh with everyone going to D tubing and glass windshields, but the Hull?

Not sure I would put a boat that has never been made as a comparable to these boats!

All these boats are extremely not practical like who wants to go fishing 🎣 on a million dollar boat and have no where to escape from the elements for 8 hrs like the canopy on these are a joke any boat in that price range that doesn’t have a cabin and rest room is a waste of money in my option …these are all just extremely overpriced over powered center consoles ..I couldn’t in good faith take customers in these craft for more then 3 hrs..also the engines are all over priced trash 🗑..u could get a boat in the price range with real engines that last and have a long life …for some reason ppl think more horse power is better ..but as a business owner it’s a waste of the bottom line u can cruise on other boats at 30knts and get there plenty fast enough and comfortable and not break the bank and with less moving mechanically moving parts …

Finally a true intelligent comment!!! if i had this kind of money, I'll definitely not buy a single one of those overpriced so called pro fishing boat, I will go for a Botnia Targa 46 or other true pro and solid brands in this category that cost half the price and better at every single aspect!!!

@@cwill114 The Truth: If you're 30 years old and have the opportunity to own a 800k boat you probably haven't made an honest living. I'm 50 years old, went through college, medical school, 3 years of Residency and now 20 years of medical practice AND I cannot afford an 800K boat. And yes, though I work in Primary Care, I assure you I've worked and am working harder than you. The first thing that will go when (not if) the economy dives will be your boat along with its outstanding payments AND your snotty insults.

@@Jammaster1972 must suck to know you are working your ass off and still coming up short. Lol. I’m a contractor and make an honest hard living.
