If they do spike up because of the video it will drop back down because it ain’t a traditional single cut or trad double cut it’s just about guaranteed to. Especially one that has the lipstick pickups like the one Phillip has in the video. Because it is so unique it’s not the usual two humbucker, two P90 or three P90s which tend to be more common in guitars like the ones you tend to see in double cut copies in shape only. I really dig the lipstick pickups and I’m betting their price will most likely spike and then quickly come down. That’s the one that appeals to me most and I’ll bet comes down the quickest. Just food for thought from that guitar player that’s been trading guitars for over 45 years.

I've played quite a few of these. They are really good and stable guitars. No dead spots at the neck, the weather doesn't really affect them, they sustain their notes nicely, the sound has really buttery mids and they are really solid. Back in the day they had only vintage styled setups, but nowdays you can have a heavier setup with Emg's as well. The only thing what has kept me away from them is the fact I hate carved tops. If they had a f.e. RG-like body, that would be a instant buy. They also sell their necks, but I'm no luther enough to equip my Ibanez with one.

I think the neck sounded thick and lush, and articulate. One of the best I’ve heard recently. The lipsticks overall, really produce a beautiful clean. Very nice sounding.

Phil, I really appreciate - enjoy - how well your audio setup is so that your electric-guitar playing sounds PERFECT - just outta the box. Because of your mics, their placement, etc. Thanks for going that.

I had questions about the neck's material, and the nut, too, all of which are answered on the vendor's website. Phil, I appreciate your comment about the likely need to replace the cable-jack with that same product. Not my favorite answer but I'd hate to waste time scrounging my bin and then discovered, 'I'm wasting my time - git the real thang."

I’d love to see a video demonstrating caliper measurements on a variety of popular acoustic and electric guitars. Stuff like the string spacing, nut and saddle dimensions, depths for cavities, etc. Same about radius and other gauges. It’s difficult to find out where to take each measurement. I also have trouble seeing if my neck is straight and knowing how to use one of those blue music nomad tri-tools for nearly every neck situation because I often see light passing through the gauge even when I think the neck is straight - and I don’t know if it’s where I’m placing it, whether it might happen with some necks with a more curved radius, etc. I don’t know if there’s a standardized rule of thumb of measuring guitars as to where/how to place these gauges, and whether these rules vary depending on each guitar model/specs, but it would be nice to have a video guide on KZbin or photo guide on a website to follow for a variety of measurements and measurement gauges. Thanks, Phil!

I found a builder called "Haywire" and they make an improved Fender classic designs and retail new for over $2,000 but are up on their reverb store for like $800. Made in USA and very cool options. They had an X-light Strat that had an advertised weight of 5.5 pounds, Strandberg weight.

Some time ago i was looking at their eplacement necks as they seem great value, i didn't go through because they pre-drill the holes with threaded nut inserts and provide matching machine screws so in the likelihood that there's a mismatch between your guitar pocket and the neck you are literally screwed.

@Phil: are those trem springs easy to find/replace? I've never seen guitar trem springs that short. And just for kicks, you should do a viewer blind sound test of this guitar and a PRS - you know, cuz this one ain't got no tonewoods. :P I am sure that would be revealing and interesting content as this thing sounds pretty sweet. This one is more compelling and reasonably priced than say Aristedes full composite axes.
