Also sign supply agreements between Denmark-Greenland-USA to guarantee a set percentage of REM is always available to the US to purchase if requested. Trump gave an explicit NO when asked if he would use military force. His own reasons for making this the subject of talk for the world is because of what both China and Russia has/is doing to upgrade their ice breaking vessels to cut through the ice to have a shorter route and was warned by the military generals of what could happen if both countries got access to those routes. In his own way he's measuring the world and making notes for future references to negotiate further. Same goes for Canada. He's using his own ideas from his book on "The Art of the Deal" to leverage his positions.
