Definitely slept on but you had two stylistically meta shotguns (spas if you wanted to one shot, AA12 if you wanted to spam shots) that were just way more popular. Fun to use though (as pretty much every mw2 gun was)

M1014 has longer range and higher damage than AA12. Idk why people didn't use it often, perhaps because of its small ammo capacity (4 rounds only)?

I used this gun all the time, basically as a primary. Marathon and lightweight. Get into someone's face and bam. Easy kills. Probably my second favourite MW2 weapon behind the Vector.

This shotgun was so underrated. Pared with a foregrip this was a good competitor to the Spas12, with the Spas having a better range but you need the pull it back after each shot, with the M1014 you could just shoot one after the other.

@@jomama969really? Wasn’t expecting you to say the striker, for some reason I loved using the striker, I’d pair it with the Uzi & Fmj & have extended mag on the striker, marathon, stopping power & steady aim. Lots of high kill games with that class lol

I used extended magazine for my M1014. The other shotgun I loved to use in this game was Striker, tho the ammo capacity is roomy, it doesn't have range & damage as M1014. AA12 magazine change is faster but the range is sadly short for most engagement

The main issue with the M1014 was that it had the same range as the AA12, meaning only the ranger had a shorter range. It’s damage was as good as the spas, but with the shorter range it had a hard time competing just like most of the other shotguns in MW2.

@@115zombies935 yeah people are blinded by nostalgia glasses but this game had lots of problems, mainly because of devs being fired basically right after release. Massive amount of bugs with weapons, just to recall F2000, akimbo G18 or DEagle, that never got to be fixed, not to mention proper balance of stuff like shotguns. There is no reason for M1014 to have artificially reduced capacity to 4 instead of 7 if stuff like AA12 existed, MW2 is full of bizzare stuff like that. I wish so much for community patch which would fix these issues

I only slept on this shotgun for 2 very big reasons. Shit AMMO CAPACITY. UGH its the one thing i hate about cod as a Bf1 player (still play treyarch solo zombies) the reload wasnt horrible on the M1014, but the overall ammo cap was hard for me as a slow assault type player. Especially because you couldn't have a decent reload speed AND scavenger perk for some goddamn reason. The 2nd reason i hated this shotgun was the fire cap. It was just always like half a cunt hair too long between shots. Still a great shotgun, i liked all mw2 guns.
