And not to be confused, I'm using the title "disrespect" reflecting off of the fans' take on how he's being used. Don't confuse that with the article. I know the top AEW talent disrespected is kayfabe, and they're referring to Darby. I'm just using the article as a segway.

Im a huge Jeff Hardy mark as much as he does draw , his addiction is ruining his career One of the hardest things to those who want to help addicts you really can't, they have to help themselves , you can give them all the support, financial assistance and a home and its ultimately irrelevant sadly

I Don't Feel Sorry for jeff hardy anymore because he's not as the same competitor as he used to be so He's got to put over a talent to build their stock in the future of the company like a Swerve Strickland To be in that prominent role in the company.

Jeff Hardy is my favorite wrestler of all time. I'd love to see one last run with him, but he can't work like how he used to, and he could relapse at any time. I think he and Matt could have one last good run, but I think it'd be best if it were in NXT.
@FunkSwaggMusiK9 ай бұрын
The grass aint always greener on the other side. The AEW honeymoon grace period is over. Amazing how quickly WWE and AEW have traded places 😂 That being said. Both Hardys need to hang it up and ho into the Hall Of Fame. Jeff cant be trusted and Matt is on the verge of loosing his family. Hang it up and go into the HOF.

I remember Jeff saying now and days he does let his opponents know ahead of time, when I hit the Swanton, it's gonna be stiff cuz my back can't the bump normally anymore. which I can't remember who it was but when he had the back brace & it the Swanton I know that had to feel horrible asf for the person taking it.

Inb4 we get Jeff Hardy Victory Road 2 electric boogaloo. In all seriousness I've seen personally people just like Jeff who constantly says he is going to get help and clean but always relapse because they only say it because others are putting pressure on them and not because of a genuine desire to get clean and they will relapse again first chance they get. I think Jeff has made it clear he's only staying out of trouble because he has no other option and if he doesn't want to change for himself it's not going to happen. Jeff was good but he's a risk now he's been a risk for years now and he needs to hang up his boots and focus on his health
@jimiverson61719 ай бұрын
he's being used as an enchancement talent, which is pretty much all he's good for, have you seen him climb the turnbuckle in the last year? He takes 4 or 5 steps and almost falls 90% of the time. When he was still "ABLE" - he could hope to the top with a spingboard, its a shame. I think he could adapt his style a little and he'd be a good singles or tag star. He deserves everything he's getting now, i feel sad for matt though poor fella..

Jeff got what he wanted and honestly, after the shit he pulled during his last run with WWE, he deserves whatever he gets. They had legitimate concern for him and he accused them of not trusting him and thinking he was using drugs/alcohol again and all these idiot AEW fans were saying WWE was wrong for that but then it turned out their concerns were well founded when he was arrested for a DUI a few months later. He was mad because he knew he was about to get busted and suspended again, so he walked out on the one Company that has given him multiple chances and he has fucked them every single time.

Judging a 30 year old based off what they did at 18 is way different than judging a 46 year old one what he did when he was 40.
@MillennialSmark29 ай бұрын
True, but the idea is that if someone is trying to get better, unless I'm objectively having a valid reason to bring up their past? I'm not going to judge them actively trying to do better with their decisions in the past, as if that's their character today unless proven otherwise. In fact, a judge could tell an attorney not to do that in presenting his evidence in court because it's a form of character assassination and would be inadmissible. That's what happened in the Kyle Rittenhouse situation.
@mattroxursoul9 ай бұрын
@@MillennialSmark2 Sorry man I just do not have patience for drunk drivers. Even more so who are repeat offenders, who can also afford to get someone else to drive them. It is not character assassination though. It is a pattern of behavior which is something a judge or prosecutor take into account during a trial. I hope he is a changed man and is taking care of himself. I do not want to read in the news some morning that he did the same thing Tammy (Sunny) did. I will happily eat crow if he never gets in trouble for it again.
@MillennialSmark29 ай бұрын
@@mattroxursoul Not necessarily, in some circumstances. For example, in the Kyle case, he said he wished he had his gun during presumably an ongoing criminal situation (at the time) at a CVS or Walgreens. The prosecutor tried to make that a pattern of behavior argument, but it was inadmissible in court, because him saying he wish he had his gun to deter someone at a pharmacy store has nothing to do with him taking part in a militia and the events that occured that night. Had he gone back to said pharmacy store with a gun, THEN you can argue a pattern of behavior to suggest something, otherwise it's irrelevant and only to paint him as a dangerous person to the jury rather than focusing on the facts of what happened that night. A pattern is a compatible follow-up. Any change up would ruin a pattern is the logic. That's all to say if Jeff was saying any of this under the influence, you'd be correct in the pattern of behavior, but not when he's presumably getting better. That's a character attack because logically, the determination factor regarding how long you hold that over someone's head is subjective.
@MillennialSmark29 ай бұрын
@@mattroxursoul It's the same reason why people don't hate Shawn Michaels today for what he did 25 years ago. You can bring it up. But him being who he is today, you wouldn't just run up to his face if you're knowledgeable and understand who Shawn has become and attempt to criticize him on his past if he's not doing anything relevant to that. You'd just come off as an asshole doing that and attacking his character vs. if Shawn came into work drunk today and was abusive to the talent, THEN you can talk about his past because that would be referencing. You get what I'm saying?

AEW shouldn't take too many unnecessary risks this year. Because after all of the Tony Khan Twitter bs, CM Punk leaving, Brawl Out, Jade leaving, Cody leaving, the AEW wrestlers being disgruntled, and the free fall ratings nosedive; Warner-Discovery is taking all of these things into consideration when that contract deal is being reviewed. If Jeff relapses, that's going to be a huge nail in AEW's coffin.
@sampleoffers19789 ай бұрын
Older wrestlers need more story unless theyre main eventers like Sting was. More story takes more tv time. Hardy's could go to tna and NJPW, to really help those companies...but theyre monkey wrench, land mines in over saturated aew. Booking in aew looks very political and clearly that's why Punk made waves, he was trying to get aew out of it's own way.

Unlike the eco chamber that was created for all of you marks in this comment section, go back and actually watch Jeff Hardy’s heel run. It was his best character work period. His heel run was above and beyond better than any of his face runs character wise. Jeff hardy as a face is the same character that he played since the hardy boys. Atleast his heel run was entertaining.
@MillennialSmark29 ай бұрын
1) *Echo chamber, and that follow-up doesn't even make sense. How many people are dissing Hardy's heel run for the echo chamber comment to make sense? 2) Why do marks call other people marks? You're no better than anybody else. A wrestler will call you a mark just like he'll call me a mark. Get the f**k over yourself 🤡 3) Are you REALLY going in a rant right now because I had an opinion in the video you disagreed with in the video? Homie (the fact that I'm actually having to explain this to an adult is so 2024), not everyone is going to like the same things you do.
