in Kenya butchers use digital weighing scales for meat. Very hard to cheat on those they measure exact weight. When we used to use those old analog scales the ones that go up and down, the butchers used to cheat us on the meat weight. Maybe they are still using those analog weighing scales in Cameroon.

Your experience as a Cameroonian is pretty much the same feeling when you come from DRC. Kenya is by far better organized and the people less edgy than in Douala or Kinshasa. However this thing about Uber and Bolt for me is good and bad at the same time. I was in Kenya two weeks ago and had to rely on my friends phone to get an Uber. I found it annoying not being able to get a taxi in the street whereas I could in Europe. But since the country is very organized I hope they will build sky train or metro which will put Nairobi further ahead of Central or Western Africa cities

Its a crime to Reconfigure a weighing scale in Kenya. If you are caught calibrating a scale so that it measures less weight than normal.... You'll be fined a hefty amount.....So, A kilo of Meat must be equal to a 1000 grams & not less. I think Cameroonian butchers cheat on the scales.
