There will never be anyone else like Ray Price. Never get tired of listening to him.

I have Apple Music with tons of Ray Price songs. I play them over and over - sometimes for hours just thinking of my wife and Mom who both left this earth: Mom - 2006 and Barb - 2008. I just sit and listen with a glass of wine. You’re right - there will never be anyone else like Ray Price.

I have been a fan of Ray's since the early 50's and have seen him perform many times across the country. He was the best and will be sadly missed by all who loved him and his music. I have most of his songs and listen to him a lot. RIP Mr. Price.

Phyllis, Amen! Lost George Jones in 2013 also. Two icons of country music! GP

George was another one of my favorites along with Faron and Marty. I could listen to them all day and also a lesser know singer from the west coast named Billy Mize who is still alive but is in a nursing home following a severe stroke and then a bad fall.

HE IS A MASTER , THE KING OF COUNTRY. I DEARLY LOVE HIS SINGING & HIM. IT was 1956 or so I started listening to him. I still have 45 records of him plus about all his albums. His voice was still awesome when I saw him in about 2005 or so. Best show ever. He spent long time with my husband & I after the people left, he was so nice. I could not believe he would spend almost 1 hour talkin g to us. When he signed my picture of him I told him I grew up listening to him & my Mom & I always loved him. Maybe this was why he talked to us & said to take photos with him. Such a gentle man. Rest in peace Ray, I still listen to your songs.

Mel Foree was the Acuff-Rose Publishing PR guy, stopped by radio stations to make sure we were playing their music. I met him a couple times, I kinda stared, this was the man who wrote NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW, ALL THE WORLD IS LONELY NOW. Fred Rose's name wasn't on the song back then. Legend in country music industry: Fred wrote both songs, originally gave them to Mel to make sure he'd always have some money coming in. After the first renewal period of the licensing, authorship sometimes gets corrected.

I knew Mel Foree, in his later-life he was a traveling song-plugger for Acuff-Rose music publishing. He made the rounds of radio stations reminding us to play their music. Legend has it Fred Rose actually wrote this, gave it to Mel so he'd always have some money coming in. Same with ALL THE WORLD IS LONELY NOW. Nice guy.
