I turned an 85 gallon fish tank into a tropical rain forrest complete with moss carpeting the entire substrate. I went to a comic book store and bought already painted miniature figures of people and a dragon hiding inside a coconut shell cave. Looks like an epic battle is about to kick off.

In a few million years after we destroyed most of life on the surface there will be countless Terrariums still holding life in them. Maybe we wipe out all life one day by accident but then a rock smashed one of these terrariums and it kick starts life again. Or some day a meteor hits earth and a couple of these get thrown into space and land somewhere on a distant planet just right at the right spot to get enough light and heat to still carry on and become an oasis in a gigantic desert of nothingness only to be found by future explorers. :)

I had heard of these ecosystems in a jar before but never had much interest in it. Just watched a few of your videos and I already know I need to make one. I don't even necessarily care about plants that much, mostly because I know very little about them, but there's something deliciously nerdy about putting together something like this that can sustain itself (if done right).

Wow. It's giving me some ideas on how to create a section to hold substrate in in a cloche dome I want to use for a miniature world terrarium. I'd previously been trying to cut clear laminate to glue into a cylinder as walls of a faux "pot" so the false bottom of gold could still be visible and I could slide the glass over the top. Still chewing through those ideas. Your designs are beautiful.
