Hello 17drums, excellent work all around. Special note to the audio and video work. Even has the mix of the original Yes Version. It's interesting that you find people in South America and Europe that will put all that work into such songs, while the States still have a view of these type of songs as too involved to consider seriously. best again D

GREAT!! This is superb, Dave, everything about it - not just the music but the video, production, song choice, sounds, a couple of talented females thrown in to give us something to look at - fantastic. I love the "Bonanza" part of this song, such a great addition from YES. Tim's voice really works with this song!

The set is a vintage Fibes set from the 70's, and one of the last ones made. The name Fibes comes from 'fiberglass'. So they are fiberglass shells (which never warp) covered by copper, which was then given an antique finish. Antique copper Fibes! Fell in love with them the first time I saw them.

Superb collaboration to all !! The ability to do this is surely one of the more positive results of computer technology, the internet, software etc. Bringing such talent and human spirit together from around the world is such a good thing in this sometimes crazy world we live in is priceless. For all to simply enjoy with no boundaries. Very cool. Dave I liked the additional video angle for the drumming as well as the pictures & bios of all members.

Thanks, Nick! You're absolutely right about technology shrinking the world. Had only one (lousy) guitar player on your block growing up? No big deal. Now you can search the world for quality musicians who share similar musical tastes! I'm watching for the first Cyber Super-Band to emerge - a platinum-selling band composed entirely of KZbin "strangers" who have never met in person. It's bound to happen, now that geography is no longer a limiting factor. Would love to be a member of it!

Dave I was serious about those angles. Its great to have serveral different shots of the drummer because of all the other percussion instruments they may be playing as well. If there was one instrument I could play I often said I would want to play drums. My father was a drummer thats probably why I was always so interested in it. SI Quest is pretty much over. I couldn't get it off the ground because Twitter kept suspending me LOL!!!
@17drums11 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, and I agree. it was special for us because it's the first time we collaborated with women! And it turned out that they played better than the many guys we had considered for those parts.
@17drums11 жыл бұрын
Thanks George! It was a great addition with the ladies. Yes, I use 'melodic' toms. Though most of the set came with double heads, I prefer the sound of a single head. It gives a truer melodic tone than the ringing produced by two heads. The western theme is from William Wyler's 1958 movie, "The Big Country."
