I think Willy and Linus would both be great friends for Walter. Willy for the camaraderie of fishing, and Linus just for the interest and comfort in the natural world and returning to their roots.

I think Elliot would be a good friend as well as Willy. He's a loner as well and a deep thinker. Linus too, especially with his nature wisdom. Love this series.

​@@Craah74 Maybe it's just because I hang out with writers but he seems pretty normal for a writer. He's a bit of a loner, likes flowery language, has a flair for the dramatic, and likes his unique style and fashion. I don't know if he would quite fit Walter though. I see Walter as more of a salt of the Earth type while Elliot is more of a head in the clouds artsy type. Leah is the more grounded artist loner archetype in the valley to me.

Do you reckon Walter would adopt another pet? Or only have Winston? You could have a narrative of adopting a stray kitten that wandered onto the farm. Or maybe a little Turtle friend to ensure Walter's always got company for the rest of his days, as some Turtles can live 30+ years.

Loved that introduction. I think Linus would be a great best friend for Walter, the two of them hanging out at the mountain lake or by the campfire enjoying the simple things in life. Chief definitely needs a dog house and a buddy. Thanks for the long episode, can’t wait for the next one.

I think befriending Marnie is a great idea. Can see the good side to her, where she's raising two kids that aren't her own and one has a drinking problem! Walter can maybe be a supportive friend. 😊

Willy and Linus are naturel fits for Walter. He would easily encounter them both while fishing in the mountains or ocean. Common interest with Willy, and in a strange way common values with Linus. Simple guys wanting to get away from the loud city. Alex could be an interesting friendship too. Walter would get to see him a lot due to Evelyn, they could bond over their dogs, and develop a sort of father figure relationship for Alex. Marnie could be a casual friendship based around animals. Abigal might be out there but neat. She wants to be an adventurer and Walter is an experienced miner/monster slayer. Him acting as a mentor, directly or not, would fit. Probably helps Abi hangs out in the mountains a lot too.

I think Walter and Linus should be besties. I can see them both hanging out by the lake, Walter fishing, Linus just sitting there hanging out, discussing the simple life, then they make a camp fire and cook a fish and just be chill under the stars. 10 out of 10 idea, just saying 😂

Thanks for this series! I wanted to give you a heads up on weapons, the insect head sword has been buffed to have 20-30 damage now. Walter has the achievement so he can collect it at Marlons. It also has a speed +2. I think it now is better than any of the other clubs and swords untill you can get the bonesword.

Hi Sharky, I love this play through :) I wanted to tell you about 2 tiny mods that might really fit with your game here - the first is automatic gates (it just opens and closes the gates when you approach and go through), and the other is passable crops so you can walk through (over) sprinklers and trellis crops. :)

Just was looking at the wiki for myself: once you unlock Emily's sewing machine, you can transfer the stats of any shoes to Walter's wellies From the wiki: " To custom-tailor boots or shoes, place the item with the desired stats on the spool at the upper right and the item to be tailored in the feed at the lower left. The item on the spool will be consumed in the process. The resulting item in the feed will be called "Custom-tailored [name of shoe/boot]".

Yeah unfortunately you can’t put Red Mushrooms in the dehydrator :/ Have you thought about putting torches on the sprinklers to make it easier to see the farm at night? I’m glad Walter has plenty of money for buying seeds on the first day of summer! You _really_ need to take 300 wood down to the beach and repair the bridge. Summer is *great* for foraging down there! It can be very valuable! If you wanna gift Willy a drink he loves, make some beehouses and get him some mead! You need maple syrup to make those tho :/ Can’t wait to see Walter have a great summer!!!

Not sure I liked the choice to go for artisan last episode. Because "it's a good money maker" that doesn't fit the character either. It's just like every other play through. The farm is about animals right? You should stick to the character in my opinion.

Yes definitely friends with Willy, also - Gus, so when Walter visit the saloon, Gus can talk to him and make him feel welcome to Pelican Town, and teach him recipes to cook cus Walter maybe not good at cooking due to his late wife usually being the cook, Linus to learn how to forage and Linus can also teach Walter how to make wild bait for fishing. Plus Walter may think, that his late wife probably would be more likely to befriend Linus and give him comfort food so Linus won't go hungry, so Walter can befriend with Linus to honour his wife. I'm thinking maybe Caroline, she is a wife and mother too, so she's not that young, but not old, but Caroline can teach Walter how to make good green tea, for health and help Walter to feel more energise for his age, and good for his joints and bones, so he can use his old legs for a wee while longer with the benefit of green tea? :D And maybe Harvey, Walter is old, so maybe sometimes he does need his monthly check ups at Harvey's clinic.

Unless you put speed-grow on the strawberries the day you get them from the festival, you only get 2 harvests out of them between the egg festival and the end of spring.
