I had to come back to watch this video bro because I'm really feelin these now. The uppers having that material, and the midsole, does it for me. You have to cut it off but hoping the outer material is sturdy. The under layer is the same material as the swoosh

You are definitely right about the pattern of the shoe and what it represents. I’ve seen the movie quite a few times so when I saw the shoe for the 1st time I knew. Everyone else was like idk what this has to do with the wizard of oz

i still think SB really missed with these and could have been executed way better. Just feels like they Cheap'd out on this one especially wit the materials underneath the top layer and just the design of the shoe. Like it kind of reminds me of the temu shirts with the design print covering the whole shirt. They could have added some embroidery for the flowers like grandma couches from adidas but obviously in poppies or did an all-sequence shoe that had two different colors. Where one side was yellow and other red but hidden message on the yellow side. Just a bunch of different ways they could have executed this that would have been cleaner.
