Finally got a rear diff for my breakout a couple weeks ago. Sunday the car made its fastest pass. Still need to get it quicker but so happy to get back to back 2.3 second runs.

What do you think of the drag pak v2 mid motor slash kit with all the bells and whistles? With their mid motor trans

Looks really nice. I wish sometimes I’d stuck out the slash before swapping to a dr10.

Two questions: I have a Associated B6.2 chassis set at 1/2" ride height. The rear half shafts are lower than I would like to see. Are there trans spacers on the market for me to raise it ? Or do I make them ? Do you like to see the front springs heavier than the rear ? My thought on this is the front will rise faster and the back will squat easier.
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
You shouldn’t have to raise the Tran on most common chassis kits as they usually come with their own spacer. What chassis you running.

Hey Chad.. iam noticing that you r not running the upper chassis tray.. Are you getting better results that way ?
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Don’t want anymore weight then I need. If you look at many of the fast breakout people they are running no tray or the tray layered on top of the 3mm chassis to increase strength. I will be doing that when I get my parts and rebuild the car.

I can't understand why nobody (to my knowledge, anyway..) has incorporated droop adjustment screws... not for ride height of course, but to limit extension, especially in the front. A made a set of limit straps for my DR10 based car. It KILLS having to take the shocks apart to put shims in them!
@Dorkyand409 ай бұрын
Most b6 platforms have no droop adjustments. Some buggy’s do. I guess these purpose made cars should have a droop adjustment these days.

You are the man Chad ! Probably gonna spend more money and fight this thing to make it fast but it’s so fun . Thanks for the video sir ! PS - Will you move to Virginia ? Lol !
@Dorkyand402 жыл бұрын
Just spend it wisely. Don’t hesitate to ask. It’s expensive enough already. I’m a believer in buy once cry once. I wish fivestar offered a builders kit where we could choose our parts vs having to buy these extras.
