Yeah agree on all that. I’ve done a lot of videos on the nascar too and have found a lot of issues with my car. Some cars run good. Some ok. Some terrible. Mine was terrible and has taken a lot of sanding and reaming and refitting. It seems to be ok now but need some lap times.

yeah.. took the whole thing apart.. polished.. got the factory lube out.. put the good stuff in.. but the diffs are still a bit crunchy for my taste.. but it’s fast 👋

you can but theres no gaskets and a split diff so grease would be better. the fluid leaks out but is way easier to tune with

put esc behind the servo and the receiver on the corner battery side

@Dorkyand40 hi mate I've managed to put the esc on top of the streeing servo now and receiver on the centre with the switch I've extended the plastic clip which clips the body shell down so all sorted now cheers mate 👍

So radio u want to use have on and rear to the esc. With a bind plug in the servo port on of the esc, turn it on the esc will flash rapidly then bind

coming up in a video from the race recap. we find that 1mm from the shock adjuster up to the top cap is about right to keep the chassis low and not scraping and to keep the roll of the car in control. some surfaces will vary but you want it as low as possible while controlling roll

@@Dorkyand40 we run on black carpet. I’m on 6mm It’s the lowest setting. No bottoming out that I know of. No scratches on chassis Im running box stock

Oils no. Diffs yes. I had them so wanted to see if they made a difference and they didn’t. I like the scientific approach.

I use grease in my diffs more in the front less In the rear try that oil will seep out 😊👍

@@richardbrown6762 I have one that’s notchy and the other was smooth. The plastic sun gear is a little ragged. So I think like you said with more laps it will wear in.

If you ever run yours outside on the asphalt you will know what I am talking about, yeah we don’t have any indoor tracks where I live but have been contacting roller skating rinks to try to get something started. It would be nice to leave the pine needles and pebbles behind!

Only my buggy has sway bars. None of the road coarse cars do. Just not enough grip to that level. Seat bars control grip in a more heavy handed approach. We couldn’t use them in my case just because of rules.

Didn’t give you just been doing oval locally with this the tt02 and oval works carb and running b7 off-road. Just kind of go with the flow. We have an on road shoot out coming at the end of the month and I’ll be driving the x12

not really counting. all i am worried about is a 5 min race and its just fine. full throttle bell to bell takes it down to about 60% and it takes about 20-23 mins to charge with the standard charger and a 25watt walwart

Using the stock charger and a 18watt USB-c wall plug it takes about an hour to fully charge the battery when the battery has been drained to the low voltage range from esc. And agree with your charging times when only partially drained after a 5 minute race. Do you think the 5000 mah spectrum battery is too much for this car for run times? My son and I are averaging around 30-45 minutes run time on the 50% percent setting and about 25-30 on 75% that’s when the low voltage in the esc cuts out. We haven’t ran a full 100% through a battery yet. 5-20 minute heats would be cool. When we get to 100% driving skills I would like the battery to last longer than the claimed 20 minutes but the dimensions on the 5000 mah box would require modifications to the frame. I am thinking it would be best to just get more of the stock batteries to achieve our longer run times as well to one battery stressing the motor and esc longer than 20 minutes is a recipe for disaster I am thinking. Might be fun to run the blow your motor 5000 mah race! lol pre requisite must bring fire extinguisher. That heat sink piece works been noticing a 10 degree difference in motor temps and heat sink.

Awesome. Welcome. Should be the same as tr02. We run both with the same car. I use a different body for each and that’s it. This car it shouldn’t matter. I only use a tougher body for oval to help with contact :)

Yeah. From what I see online and what we are doing that’s the plan. The mini b and t was a little before its time. It wasn’t very good. So it become a money pit. You can take a box stock arrma typhon grom and run circles around one of those minis. In fact I’ll be getting one for off road this year :)

@@Dorkyand40 I did and am getting back to it this coming year. Used to race 17.5 open touring mostly. Plenty going on at local Hobbytowns here. Parking lot racing for several classes... VTA, Stock,Spec 21.5,21.5 open, rotating exhibition classes weekly, indoor drift and mini z tracks. Yeah Traxxas tried the Nascar thing before...didnt seem to catch on. Oval with spec pan cars sounds more interesting really.
