Thanks for another marvellous video, Paul. I love how much you enjoyed this shoot and how you encouraged us all to simply get out there!

Greetings from down under Paul, I am grateful that the algorithm pointed me in your direction! I also spend far too much time under the stars, but unlike you our constellations are the "wrong way" round! Nice video and nice pictures without the over processed and overblown core photos that are becoming so common! Keep it up, Pete!
@nightscapejournals9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind comment and welcome back to the channel, Pete. I’m envious of how high the milky way core gets for you guys! I’ve only ever been to Sydney and my attempt at some rooftop stargazing was fairly poor - I’m not sure I recognised anything! All the best.

Congratulations for the videos that i found and watched recently. They are very nice. Sometimes i make similar astrophotography with canon 6D from north part of Italy.
@nightscapejournals9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind comments, Massimo. The 6D is fantastic for Astro a hope you’re enjoying it. I’m hoping to be in northern Italy later this year and will definitely be taking my cameras to hopefully capture some Milky Way core up in the hills.

Such a relaxed pace thru this video Paul, went perfectly with my cuppa and hot cross bun. Loved the time you spent at the end enjoying the sights and sounds of the wetlands over a brew.

Superb job Paul, great video! Excellent images, first Milkyway of the season, great image mate👍 Love the drone footage and b roll, nicely done, it’s an effort, but the end results are well worth it! Thats a great looking location, I love the waterscapes, and especially hearing nature all around you! I don’t do enough of that! I really should make that effort! Well done mate and clear skies!

Great video and photographs. The hardest part is getting out of the door when it looks less than ideal. I always tell myself if I don’t go it will be perfect. I love the sound of the world waking up just before dawn.

Beautiful video Paul, thanks for sharing the adventure! Especially on a day like this we should not take these for granted. You are really getting on top of your game lately! Beautifully produced, so many camera angles, must have taken ages to film but it absolutely works to get the atmosphere across into my living room. And ofcourse great images. Well done!

Thanks Jeroen. The message of the video seemed to resonate just that little bit more after yesterday. I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. You’ll like one of the comments from Esther: “stop wearing such a noisy jacket!”. Point taken! 😊

Thank you Paul for a lovely relaxing journal. I have run out of superlatives for your work. I'm. In awe. The production you out into your videos, I have to take my hat off. With planting a camera down to track your walk. Then having to go back and pick it up to place for another capture of the walk to your imaging place. Along with the editing of the whole journal. Thank you again.

Just loved this Paul. Very poignant given today's saddest news. Your written intro and story of the night conveyed a great message and atmosphere. I'll be out under the stars tomorrow night!

Thanks Paul - really appreciated. Tragic news today - don’t really know how to put it all into words. As with you, I’ll be out under the stars again tomorrow, cherishing them just that little bit more and all the more determined to share them with others. Thanks for watching.

Very cool video Paul. It struck a note with me because I do that very same thing. I sometimes have to drag myself out at un-Godly hours to do some astro/landscapes and sometimes there are dissapointments but just getting out there you never know what you will find. Awesome dude!!!

Ha ha - glad it resonated, Dan. When we first get up, it’s tempting to think we’re the craziest people in the world. But when it all comes together I think other people are crazy for not being out there too!! Thanks so much for watching and your kind comment.

Lovely images Paul, and Satan ftw🙂I have been trying to get a photo of the milkyway rising out of the north sea (I live on the north east coast of Scotland) but the weather just wont play all. However, I think you have the right mindset in just going out and making the best of it. I've lost count of the number of times the weather forecast has been abysmal but I've then spotted the odd star or two out of my window and could have been outside and have probably missed an opportunity to get a half decent shot.

Ha ha, good spot! Wasn’t sure if anyone would know what I was taking about! 🤣 I’m sure when you do eventually get clear sky that MW shot will be fantastic - so good to get dark skies over the sea. Thanks for watching. 👍
