I think even if someone replies, it doesn't matter if they are just paying you lip service. That guy who took advantage of you could just keep fobbing you off with your requests whilst asking for your help when he needed it. At least people are revealing their true nature when they snake you like this.

happens. lot of users and fair weather friends. i meet lot ppl throughout life(school, church, meetup...etc) only a few i would call real friends. this goes with dating and girls too. i meet a lot of girls and most i see as an associate and thats it
