I'll bet the devs were like, "when they parry an enemy attack and get a whole focus bar, they'll know to use a focus attack while the enemy is stunned." The players: "nope." lol

'whole bar' is relative. Note he's at 100 focus, that's nothing really. I'm level 12 and I'm up at like 15, which is almost 200 rune, as well as having a shield which on parry boosts it by 70 for a couple of minutes.

Also play a Greatsword. I use heavy armor, but hear me out using shoulder tackle on enemies that are on the edge saved me quite a few times!

I've been using the same weapon and had alot of trouble until I figured out the key to success is the heavy attack

Actually it depends on the weapon. I used heavy attack all the time with lighter weapons, but with my main I'm using hammer now and I never heavy attack. I just don't have a window to do it because it's too slow for my style. With how I move in, hit a couple of times, then dodge out, it's easier/better to (rune attack) hammer throw in after that dodge out, then they are on fire and smooshed in the face. Also, some heavies, like dagger heavies, you have to be really careful with because it locks you in that attack animation, and with daggers it lunges you forward.

Loving the spalled axe a 2h axe and the 1h nail laden club with the climbers pick skill fire throw slotted in.. i see a lot of streamers saying they dont like the game yet and complaining about the same thing.. that sht IS going to get fixed..they have already done 3 updates.. when was the last time anyone can remeber a game dev being this on point less then a week into early access?...

yes and no. you can for quicker farm, but sub-boss leveled enemies that look exactly like the first boss spawn through the map. lesser versions but spawns the GS...happy hunting!

I mean... you can since you can level items all the way up from level 1, but why? I'd say just keep going, and if you really want to farm gear, just go through the 'end game' dungeon repeatedly.

Still haven't fully settled on a build, but so far I'm leaning towards 'paladin' (though there doesn't seem to be any real healing, so is it really a paladin?). I would like to eventually do greatsword I think for an alt weapon. (Maining the hammer because hammer throw is ridiculous.) My natural playstyle with these kind of games is to go Rogue/Warrior, so Str/Dex split, but in my first playthrough I was just getting wrecked. I think when my main hits 21 I'll look at what equipment options there are and maybe do a 2nd build and try that again. (21 is apparently the highest tier gear will drop, while you could still grind up your character to 30.) Are you sure that weapon only comes from the first boss? Once you kill it, you can't kill it again. And loot is random, soooooo. (Level 12 now, never seen a legendary drop at all.) Note legendries are specific. Those won't be 'your' stats, they are stats for the weapon. Legendries don't change.

You have two types of DMG on your sword. Plague and cold, some people say it doesn't work. That doesn't stack together. Say, you should rather base other stones, with life or something. Does anyone have more detailed information? Is that really true or not? Unfortunately I don't have two same swords, which I could check exactly. P.S: I've checked it, and it's true. Don't do it!

great sword sounds cool but seems to slow and clunky with this stamina system. light weight and daggers has been insane, just dash through everything and do huge backstab dmg
