No Return (Grounded) - Daily Run: 1st Place as Tommy - The Last of Us Part II Remastered

This was one of the most monotonous boards I have ever played. The first two maps were as you'd expect, I am convinced they did not playtest hunted/humans on Grounded, there is no way a dev team would have played that mode and thought it had a hint of skill expression or fun to it. The third map is the only one I am happy with. I did not play Restaurant as well as I would have liked and the combination of no-reloading, no-dodging and being blind on Hardware Store made me want to just close the game out on the spot, and I wish I did because I ran out of ammo on the boss dragging it out for a year. Awful daily, placement won't stand. Thank you for watching!

what do you mean humans on grounded weren't playtested. isn't that just due to not having a dodge button. is it because when humans on hunted have guns it's impossible to get a high killcount.

@@Brandon_Y.I was referring to hunted/humans, not human encounters generally. Assault/human encounters are very engaging, I like them. Hunted/humans on the other hand are awful for many reasons. The premise of the mode in itself and the points you get for completing it just doesn’t match up with the point distribution other modes get. If you play it aggressively on grounded you get shot and lose enough points to negate the last three kills you got. So you sit there camping which is tedious and boring to begin with and you hope they push you in a specific way enough for you to get a few kills safely to scrape by. There are other reasons that make it an awful mode.

Well Val even though you said your placement won’t stand 1 hour before the board is gonna switch you are still first. I think everyone struggled with this board 😂I barely played my run right now and got 8th which is good considering and I definitely agree with hunted humans on grounded all you do is just sit still the whole round because if you wanted to push you would basically get two shot xD

This was my first time playing against the rat king on no return so I don’t have the technique down or know where to run to avoid getting hit. Needless to say I lasted about one minute LOL

It’s a tedious fight if you don’t have ammo. I ran around a lot because of that, so you can watch the boss fight on this video for proper pathing.

Yeah human hunted encounters are actually cancer and I watched that boss fight in 2x and it was still pretty heafty 😂 (developers fix that sh*t and give us Ellie wearing Joel’s jacket skin!) Anyways, you did the best you could with the crap hand you were dealt, so good run today Val ❤️🔥

I failed Tommy's Run was at the last Boss Challenge and Died as I got stuck between the Ratking and the Stalker agrrr

I have no idea where else to post about this but i just got 650 points on a capture and that’s without any modifiers being included. That has to be a record, right?

If I don’t do a daily you can text me the dilemma on PSN and I will answer. Just calculate what score you would normally get on the map/mode and multiply it by the multi. This one was obvious though, two 700+ potential hunted/infected maps at the end of the board, very hard to beat.

@@Valuthra Yeah I saw that route.. The route only YOU can get 700+ with Tommy who can't dodge😂 There is no potential score I can get for me.. There is only bad luck, bad rng, taking damage in every way imaginable ect. Anyway.. I see now why I struggle to choose which route should I take.. Because of my cowardice and lack of confidence😒 which no one can help me about it😂 Btw thank u very much for tryna help I know you'll always answer😊

@@jakepeters2018 It’s very nuanced, there isn’t anything in particular that I avoid, if it’s on the best path, I play it regardless of what it is. I calculate what I would normally get on a map/mode and multiply it by the multiplier. Sometimes I don’t need to calculate, it would be obvious like this one. It just so happens that hunted/infected is my best mode so it normally holds more weight in my decisions.
