I could see the point in using it to highlight that the body keeps score of traumas we face, as the whole character of Haruki is to also highlight a more progressive view on gender, but I agree that it could’ve been handled more tastefully. Those traumas could’ve been hinted at without the weird voyeuristic “watch what I do to your sisters body” shit

This also quickly became my #1 new anime of the year so far. I feel exactly the same about everything, including what happenend in ep12. But still I want to keep on traveling with Kiruko and Maru so I started reading the manga and I hope the mangaka knows where he wants to take the story so this horrible event will eventually lead to something (hopefully better and meaningful).
