It makes a heck of a mess to wash it hot water or to dry it. A mask will need washed every time after each use out. This mask is a one time use style because you will ruin the washer on hot water and the dryer. A needle and thread would be best if you don't have a sewing machine. Hot glue is horrible to clean off of a washer and dryer. It ruins both until you can get it off to wash other clothes. One mistake I don't want to repeat again.

You can wash it but it would have to be by hand. Suggestion- make a safe bleach/water solution and a bit of detergent and pour into a large mason jar. Put your mask in it and shake it and let soak for a while. Then rinse and let air dry.

Probably won't hold up to washing. Probably fine if you plan on the mask being a one-use disposable one.

The least porous fabric you can use to make a face mask is the best. I'd never use a tee shirt as is stretchy and far too porous. The sheet would be the better choice. And the tightest weave possible is more effective. Go for a 650 per inch weave rather than a 250 weave.

Great video. My only concern would be that your mask can get contaminated really fast, even with your own germs. Wouldn't it make sense to make disposable masks?
