I used to work at a textile plant, in the lab. I remember watching the roving machine putting out the roving yarn. I never knew or even thought of it being sold this way. It was always spun into a single string in my workplace. Then, it went through 3-4 processes, depending on the customer. That was over 20 years ago.

These are just precious. I have bought some materials to make some for my grandchildren. At Dollar Tree, they have these headbands in the toy section, they have all different colors, and they have fur on them. If you remove the fur from the headbands, they make the perfect beard(they are meant to be trolls, for dress up costumes). I didn't have any fur in my stash, so these will work great! I like your tip about using pipe cleaners in the hats, to shape them. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂🧙‍♂️🐰
