You can check out @1:58 , PVA glue was mentioned. I suggest to use Woodland Scenic glue, which was also shown in the video @1:50.

I only have used PVA. But Super glue is definitely a no.

Oh no, superglue doesn't work at all. It soaks through the cotton and create a white stain.
