@@kamscall No, that's zero sense. This is FSG that owns Liverpool, they will only use so much funds for transfers. This is Arne Slots first season and no one knows what he might get out of existing players like dm (gravenberch, Curtis jones, Bajcetic), forwards too. A DM would be great for backup, but no role is absolutely nessesary now, until we know how his system plays in the prem. Forward definitely is just you waffling, there are a million options at the club for forwards and Liverpool shouldn't sign a new forward without selling Salah first. Its either DM, CB or LB if anything.

I see some comments comparing it to Man U post Fergie. I say you don't know football!! Fergie left an aged, old, decrepit squad behind him, many key players a season or 2 from retirement or well past their best. Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Giggs, Van Persie, Carrick, that's half the first team squad!!!. Man U have still not recovered from what Fergie left behind, he was more interested his own glory than leaving behind a healthy team. This is totally different, Arne is inheriting an amazing young squad full of talent. Average age of the squad is just over 23 and already capable of winning cups and challenging for the league, at that age is fantastic. Its nothing like what Fergie did to Man U. Leave them be, let Slott work with the squad and then make own decisions based on what they have, I wouldn't be surprised if they sign no one! Fans generally are idiots, and react like children. They just want to see signings because it will make them feel good, then if those signings do poorly they'll slag off the team for signing bad players. I want to see signings as well, but I'm glad Liverpool aren't rushing. They're in quite a unique situation, an iconic figure just left, just before a summer that featured the Euros, Copa America, and Olympics. I think it would be silly for Slot to just come in a sign players without seeing everyone and assessing what he's got.

We only need a CDM and a backup CB. The talent pool for top quality CDM’s is almost non-existent atm and there aren’t many CB’s in the world I think displace Konate & VVD other than Saliba which would obviously never happen. I honestly think we already have the players to compete, our squad is very deep and I’m looking forward to seeing them in a new system.

One Central defender a young defensive midfielder and another Attacking midfielder is essential whether they want the language or not.

Spending money just to spend money is not a recipe for success. You need to identify what players are developing in the right direction or if another profile gives a better trajectory and it is worth the outlay. Asking for another AM is an example of not understanding what you already have. This is a club that has Szoboszlai, Elliott, Jones, Gravenberch and Mac Allister that are working AMs, several of which are only going to progress further by staying. If you are buying players is the same as those you already invested in, didn't cut it. Arsenal have spent £800 mil under Arteta and they have only won an FA cup. So if winning is the only criteria of success, they failed. But their squad can develop further if they got the right players.

The issue is, we keep on talking about lfc approach to transfer in the last 8 seasons but what we forget is what they'll have got in those very seasons if the direct things we keep yelling of were done. For example the quadruple chase ended coz of a DM issue, similar to the champions league we've been falling preys in the hands of Madrid coz Salah's wing has no a reliable alternative. Can we look at what city have achieved n Madrid have achieved over those years? Do they ignore the obvious things lfc does? Don’t worry about us or the plastic LFC fans shouting FSG out all day long. There’s a new manager, new coaching staff, a new system etc. it takes time for Arne to access the squad and figure out what he’s going to do. Plus there were two major international tournaments and not all of our players have returned to training. We will sign before the window closes but patience is key. You can’t compare what is going on at LFC with any other team except Chelsea but we all know Chelsea signs players not based on who is manager. They just sign to sign as investments.

I didn’t say Edwards signed them all; Kabak and Davies were signed during Edward's tenure, and those two in particular were his signings. Similarly, Melo was signed under Julian Ward-Edwards' assistant and successor, which is why I mentioned him too. You also noted that many great signings under Klopp, like Virgil, Alisson, and Fabinho, were made under Klopp. That's the point! The key ones were Klopp signings. It would be nice to get a trophy in his first season, but it's not like he gets the boot if he doesn't. I think attractive football and qualifying for europe is more or less the most realistic bare minimum. That said, do feel free to slot in them goals and win stuff lads 😄 I can think of a couple of positions where we need to strengthen, but it's a bit unfortunate he doesn't get to evaluate the complete team before they get back from the states
