It was never that cheap. It was at least $5.00 for maybe 8 ounces. A lot of dancers from Broadway Dance Center would go there because it was just around the corner, and it was more than they could afford. A big slice of pizza was $1.50! And all you got with it was crackers. No sandwiches. No entrees, just f-ing soup. It was not the best!!!

I went with a friend to get soup from the real soup shop. My friend stood in he same place after giving him his order. The soup man had to give him the "side nod" to scoot over to the cashier. I remember watching Seinfeld as a kid when it was airing live. It was so exciting, they were on fire after the 3rd or 4th season. At one point a man actually had a heart attack from laughing so hard. The soup nazi was an actual real life person. He had a kickass business, and then he got greedy and tried to expand, couldn't run an operation that big, and he went bankrupt.
