Have a 2010 HHR, son left it on and battery died, key stuck, got it started then electrical goes haywire, wont go faster than 20ish mph... poor Mom, no $ what to do?

I'm having the same problem with my 08 HHR..when it start dont crank only clicks..we change the starter, battery it's good, alternator good and still no crank! What could be? Thanks for any reply

Quite a few different things. I would never start throwing Parts into a car until you are certain that is the problem. It would be less money to have it diagnosed at a shop, rather than spend the money on those two items. There's loads of information on the internet. Do enough searching and you will be able to pinpoint your problem. Spend few hours doing some research online and you can diagnose your problem quite easily. Check your relays, check your power, check your motor, check your safety neutral switch, check everything it could possibly be. Just don't buy a part until you are certain.

I have an 06 hhr i got a crank no start situation. Its got fuel, spark timing is good new crank sensor still wont start any suggestion lmk thanks

What if the starter relay didnt click even after u switched it with a new one ? Then whats the next step to look for?

I just put on a brand new starter and the battery has 12v and i tried to start but no start or clicking but i went under car and tried to see if i could bypass starter by having someone in car holding key in start position while i jumped power wire and switch wire on starter with screwdriver and it cranked over but didnt start up..... What is the next step to check ignition ????? Please help me im going crazy!!!!

Mine does that. But sometimes it starts. It's back to no crank no start

tip everyone stop putting thirty keys on car key and all those heavy do dads! use key in car by self no wieght! the wieght of keys make tumblers and ign switches go bad!
