Very well said. I've never believed in imposter syndrome. In fact, I don't think I even heard the phrase until I was pretty well into adulthood. I like that you pointed out having low self esteem because that's most likely at the root of "imposter syndrome". It also doesn't help that our society seems to put a premium on downplaying and even discouraging creative talent until someone has "made it", i.e., achieved celebrity and/or monetary status within the art world and beyond.

I never heard it until about 5 years ago either - and it has always struck me as strange. Also so true about "having made it"
