Grew up playing hockey in the 80's and 90's in a small town in Canada and my experience was insane looking back on it today. Soooo much racism, sexism, homophobia and just general nasty behavior from coaches and other hockey players and parents! Couldn't even call it chirping because it was usually so mean spirited as where Shoresy portrays it mostly as good fun and camaraderie

2 of my coaches actively made me cry on several occasions when I played as a tendy. One of them; their son was second tendy and didn't get an ounce of hate despite cowering away from pucks because this kid is, was, and forever will be, fucking 10-ply. The guy let in more shots than Riley and Jonesy's mums. And when I left the net and became a D, same coach refused to play the better keeper because she was a female tendy and as mentioned, her son was the 10-ply tendy, despite the fact it was like comparing Andre-Flurry to Bambi. That's right, our coach was a sexist hockey mom. I should mentioned this happened in u13's; the UK equivalent of Peewee. I fucking hate UK Junior Hockey.

@@MbisonBalrog Junior B is considered a "developmental league", but they do have a national tournament. Provincials winners play each other, like memorial cup. I played for 4 years in the Calgary city league. I won a city championship, played against and with some WHL players. Its a hit or miss league. You can find a stacked junior B team with ex CHL and Jr.A players or find one a team with zero talent. Kinda just like this league in the series 😂😂😂 thats why I love it
