I wouldn't class myself as a squirrel expert, but having spent far more time outside than most people I'm certainly familiar with squirrel behaviour and can confirm the little blighters do indeed deliberately drop stuff on you, presumably in an attempt to move you on.

The blind is easy to put up and take down. kzbin.infoUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 As a female hunter, the ease of placing and setting up the blind is a plus. It’s more of a wind barrier than a warm quilted blind. Which makes it a lot lighter than our quilted blind. I enjoyed the larger windows/openings. Made for a successful season. It has held up well for the first season and the stitching looks good.

@@WildBeare Before Covid I often traveled long distances around Europe, maybe 2 or 3 times per year & being able to stop / rest / sleep / eat as I need to in all weathers suits me. For some events I would arrive in a car & stay on a campsite, sleeping down in a tent or high in a rooftent, sometimes having to survive by foraging in German campsite beer tents & food outlets. When traveling with Madam, we require more comfort & complication - a caravan. Journeys are for fairly specific or mixed reasons & I go equipped accordingly. Anyway, I enjoy my travels & watching yours. 👍

Those flies aren't used to such a pretty lady in their neck of the woods. They weren't stupid sneaking into your sleeping quarters 🤭 Smart to bring the jungle blanket. I got that same blanket. I basically have the same net to but I've never used it. Never trusted the open bottom design, looks like I was right to. I have the one Tigris mesh inner with a floor. It's a bug net but the call is a mesh inner for their tarp shelters

Squirrels are territorial little so and sos. Little pricks also may tip off a Deer during season. It's one advantage is being able to camp like that with no predators. I do tent but make the Ursus Arctos Horribilis or Ursus Americanus work for it while I have 12 gauge stubby slugger in the tent with fly. Fortunately so far as I have no yummy scents in the tent ever no 🐻 yet and I like to keep it that way. ☺

I've wanted a SnugPak jungle bag for 20 years. I went to Texas and knew I'd have to do some subtropical camping in summer. I ended up getting the Cocoon silk sheets with 2 zippered fleece blankets zipped together. That's better for me as I toss and turn and mummy bags feel like tubular restraints. The SnugPak remains unsurpassed and I may still get one if I can overcome my nighttime aversion to feeling like a stuffed sausage. As it turned out, the most memorable night I spent out there was just me in my double size mesh hammock wearing a Mexican poncho and my sombrero down over my face. No flying bugs, but crawlers were a threat. No more southern skies for me, now... but with these heatwaves the Cocoon sets may prove useful for summer camping.
