Really enjoy watching your videos. the part on the rockwell axle that broke on the buggy is called the champagne glass they are known for braking there. great job on the recovery. cant wait to see the build of the new recovery wrecker.

Matt made a comment at the #Wrecker Games, that #Trailmater had a “soul.” Watching your videos proved to me that your recovery rig has a “soul” also. Keep up the good work and thanks for the videos!

Eric, the methods you devise to extract vehicles from their predicaments are most interesting. The chains and straps are the stuff of your magic.

The next wrecker games needs to be back east where your from. Give you home turf advantage in the next games. I would love to see Matt, Paul, and Rory use there wreckers in this type of terrain.

It wasn't the wrecker, but Matt.Rorey and Paul were in the mountains rescuing that Suzuki...and that was all sorts of terrain, even submersible at times 🙂

Back when the military was "DRMO"ing M35s and parts off. Rockwell's it was cheap enough to run them and have a few for spare parts. If you run anything hard enough, long enough, or let maintenance slide, it will break. A Rockwell is a pig of an axle made to move stuff overloaded on bad conditions with a "de-rated" multi-fuel engine at low speeds. I've got many miles driving a few of them. Now, there are many better choices if starting a build if you don't have them already, and replacement parts are not being made as much now. 🤔

Off we go, on another great Eric and Abbi adventure. I'm surprised Abbi doesn't take a turn behind the wheel of the wrecker. With all her ride along time she'd be as good as 'pops' Eric. Or is she waiting to borrow Mara's wrecker to be completed.

I am always a bit surprised that if you break your highly specialized off road vehicle in some trail, you can indeed call a tow service. And they come, drive the trail with some tow truck PLUS your rig on the hook.
