Even though you were dragging a burned up * cough* ford and needed a hand couple times shows how much of a beast this truck is... Plain Jane dented, scraped and beat to shit and back but still drags them out.... Engine Transmission and the rest of the drivetrain is where it's at for stock.... Now custom build, my favorite is Hell Boy.... Murphy's Diesel.... You guys are great.... Thanks for the video's...

Love the idea with the 2 hooks on the wrecker boom. Ive never seen anyone try that before but you just proved it can work. I would think it could work really well with a SXS or ATV too. I’ve always thought your truck had the best wrecker bed with the extendable boom and hydraulic lift capability. I’ve tried to find a bed like that for a long time and they must not be as common as the other types cause I never see them for sale.

That log makes the tow a little easier due to reducing the stuff dragging on the ground.

Well, that's one way to grade the tracks.... This is one of the times you want to use a dolly wheel set.

That's when a drag winch on the deck would come in handy and you could make it to where you could hook to the bottom of the boom then run the slide to of boom out and lift it from the rear and be off the ground

For these burned vehicles a "sled/toboggan" should be built out of plywood & with heavy duty plastic "runners" on the bottom; akin to the plastic you see on the boom cranes that move sheetrock & other lumber.

hill auto body and tow uses a 2 tow ih 4x4 to retreave burnt and oscain stuck vech. he uses an under reach and boom cables to sling hole cars at times chech out his ch.
