I can't say for sure. I believe the rules have changed. The effect must be fully activated to be valid. That's why the multiple attempts with the effect being negated. ☺

@Deadpool_69_ Only the 1st effect that banishes a monster is OPT, but it may as well not be because if the effect resolves and you can bring it back to the field somehow- you CAN use it again. The 2nd effect in the grave is NOT OPT in any way so you can use it as many times as long as it's in the grave. :)
