Funny, I come across this particular video while I’m on Fiverr reworking my gigs and finally creating an effective thumbnail instead of an old photo from my iPhone 😂. Canva heavy this morning! Once again, great advice. I was out on a publishing house roster yesterday on Acx. They had me audition for a book they said fit me. I’ll know more today hopefully. Back to Canva 😂 Have a great day. Love the red lipstick btw 😊

Hey Angela! I've been consuming your videos for days. I haven't commented yet. I really love what you have over here. I'm new to the voice artist business. My KZbin channel has developed a solid foundation. I'm an author, and I read my novels and other works with sound effects and b-roll that goes along with the story. At any rate, I should have gotten into audio books and voice overs sooner. Thanks for this awesome content. I've somewhat mastered Audacity, so I guess I'm on my way. Scully.

OMG get outta my head - just a few hours ago I was literally thinking "How am I gonna break this Fiverr drought?"

It's definitely an ebb and flow there but watching those that look to have the secret sauce, definitely helps.

Thank you for another great video. I am only allowed 3 audio samples in my gig as a new seller. You mentioned 7. Please advise what I am getting wrong?
@VoiceOverAngela3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 3 Audio samples on each of your 7 gigs. :)

Just starting out I can’t get my samples to sound like most others , so what’s the best way to post samples? Most advance VA have 90 seconds demo with music Idk how to do that yet

Hi Angela thanks for the instruction. Where do I find the website that you use for background music royalty-free?

I have a membership with storyblocks.com

Hey Angela, Question. Would you say there is less competition if you speak other languages like French and German rather than English and Spanish? I guess there may also be less work? lol thanks you are great and an inspiration to us rookies
@VoiceOverAngela3 жыл бұрын
Being bilingual is always a plus! From what I have seen, there are less non English speaking voice actors on fiverr, yes.

I sometimes get the impression, that I receive more requests in times, when I am active on the platform. Maybe that is the algorithm, maybe it is because customers prefer looking for online sellers. I don't know. Maybe I am just weird :-)
@VoiceOverAngela3 жыл бұрын
Its not weird, its very possible! Some buyers do look for sellers that are online, active (busy) and available to answer questions. I have the fiverr website open on my desktop every day so I am seen as online, it does help.

keep seeing fiverr hate, where else can you start out as a rookie that's worth it
@VoiceOverAngela Жыл бұрын
Any site or direction you may take will have its pros and cons. Getting started is tough, but a necessary step to move forward. Casting sites, freelance marketplaces and direct marketing all take time to see a return on, but you can't see any success until you just get started.

@@VoiceOverAngela so what videos should i watch for complete beginners, some that shows joining, all the way up to making your demo

Hi Angela! Awesome video! After you decide to make changes how long would you say to leave those changes in effect before you can say they are working and need to change them again? Do you have a specific timeframe you wait?
@VoiceOverAngela3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I typically give it at least 2 weeks to give the algorithm time to reset you. Notable change may happen right away, or it may take a couple weeks. ;)
