The cacti come in reds, pinks, and also white! I have most of mine together in the way how one of my daughters planted them - in a long wide pot. Currently, they are still outside. It's about time to bring them in. I just wish I had a good place to put them so I can enjoy them, outside my bathroom anyway. Best place in the house for plants for light, and a nice wide windowsill. Maybe I might see more blooms in there. They didn't flower like your paintings, nor your photo. Thank you for demonstrating how to paint the leaves, if that's what they are called. I'll look that up!

Diane, I love everything about this video! The Christmas Cactus plants are among my favorites. Your tutorial on how to paint one could not be more perfect. I love the vibrant colors of the first painting in the vase. I feel like I could achieve this and be happy with the results. It's too late here in the US for me to start a painting project, but this is on my to do list for tomorrow. I'm starting on my holiday cards now and I think my sister, Jude, (another artistic painter) would love this! Your music choice is so happy! Thank you for sharing.

Great project! I have a Christmas cactus and have never thought to paint it. It's huge! Mine has pink flowers and usually blooms in November.

Fun! I just today bought the botanical set from your collaboration on Etsy. The set you used to do the Christmas Cactus last year. The one last year had amazing soft colors from that Etsy set. I was inspired by the video last night and today in my garden in California i noticed my icy pink Christmas Cactuses are in full bloom. They are gorgeous. They you for your work and great timing.

I love Christmas catus' They are so beautiful ~ my x father-in-law had a green thumb like you wouldn't believe! He had Christmas catus that bloomed beautifully! I can picture it now in my memories! I love how you did a matching bookmark with the painting~ it's beautiful Diane! I need to get my kuretake paints out and get to it! I only have the Novato set though.
