About the "human rights" about the economic privacy, to be honest I don't think it's a right of civilians. I'm in the Netherlands, and most European countries track the money flows of it's own civilians in order to prevent tax evasion and money laundering. I don't understand one thing...when he bought breakfast he scanned the vendor's QR code with his phone, but when he bought coffee in the cafe, the employee scanned his phone with a reader. Why is there this difference when in both instances he is buying and has to pay for something? Why can't the cafe just have a simple physical QR code sign like the street vendor and do away with the POS reader? Can someone please explain this to me? I would really like to know, thank you.

Zed Kay it is a two way method. You may choose to actively pay by scan the vendor s QR, or u can wait to be passively collected by being scanned . Whichever way u like better and more effective based in the situation. Also, this protects two cases : 1, if your camera broke, the u can show the QR to be scanned. 2, if you screen cracked, you can scan the vendor's. Unless you have both broken camera and screen, well , get a new phone then.
