I love how most SIX animatics never show Henry’s face and mostly focus on the queens, since he’s usually portrayed as a powerful, evil entity that the queens acknowledge but don’t like to remember. However this person just decided to be wild and include him anyway for comedic purposes and to show Catherine’s control and dignity as queen, since she easily makes him flustered and pushes him around with no worries. We respect.

That’s actually really true! Many people who do these animatics can draw Henry, but they decide to include the dumb portraits of the real life version instead in most cases or they barely include him (probably for the reasons you listed). I like that artistic take, but I also ADORE this one. I think it’s also because Catherine had no fear of execution due to her royal heritage and ties with Spain and Austria (if Henry dared to execute her he’d be in war. Understand that the people of that time thought that Catherine had an even greater claim to the throne than Henry himself, so even the people of England would rise up against him) so that’s also why she has absolutely no fears of shoving him around as opposed to the other queens. I do understand why Six doesn’t show Henry in the actual show since it’s supposed to focus and empower the queens, and that leaks into the animatics too, but it truly is refreshing to see him featured so much in this animatic, as I didn’t expect it

The only thing I don't like about the animation (but six the musical in general really) is how much Anne is the "seductress" who hated Catherine and wanted her out, when in reality she had tons of respect for her. She is treated as the reason Henry and Her divorced, but he was trying to divorce Aragon 4 years before even meeting Anne. And didn't even want to marry him, she went to france to escape him. But everything else is great!

The thing to remember about these songs is that they are sung from the perspective of each wife and is biased in their favor. So to Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn did seem like a seductress that was trying to take her husband from her. She was fighting to keep her marriage in tact and for the legitimacy of her daughter, she wouldn’t care if Anne Boleyn respected her because to her it looked like Anne was trying to take it all away from her. Henry may have been looking at options to get out of his marriage to Catherine before he met Anne, but him meeting Anne was when he actually started to take action towards it so I wouldn’t blame Catherine if it looked like him meeting Anne and falling for her was to blame for Henry really wanting their marriage annulled.

I LOVE how you did the period costume. It's accurate (her hair is actually covered!) but a really appealing animated design. And you even gave her the gabled hood while Anne gets the French hood (this is important as it was emblematic of Catherine's traditionalism and modesty and Anne's glamour and fashion. Anne described her as having a 'roof on her head.' Jane Seymour admired and modeled herself after Catherine, so she wore the hood.) And Henry is hilarious!

This is probabyly my favorite No Way animatic I've come across! I love your style; the visuals are so creative & cartoonishly theatrical, & all the queens (I specifically like K Howard) look so cute! If you did animatics for the rest of the songs (IK you did Ex-Wives), I would absolutely watch those as well.

I'd love to see you animate all of the six's songs. The way you portrayed henry was the best. It showed both his flaws and his human side in a way while everyone is just using his picture which imo is pretty much not as moving or entertaining. I wanna see both sides. Their facial expressions, their movement, the emotion and feel. A moving henry can portray far more negativity than a portrait and adds more satisfaction to what comes to him at the end of it all.
