Possible. I would argue that the Thin Man was trying to stop YOU from helping six so that you dont get betrayed by her. Six see's your face for the first time, and sees your resemblance to the Thin Man and decides you are a threat and lets you fall ironically causing you to become the main antagonist. Mono gives up and lets the signal tower corrupt him.

It's also a time loop/paradox for Mono and Six because this is confirmed a sequel to the first game. The only logical theory why Six doesn't use leech powers visibly is because her powers are probably weaker off of the maw.

Yep! It is in fact implied that the reason why Mono wears the bag is cause other kids were mean to him as well. I think it was in the comics or something? And the reason why Six is hungry all the time in the first game is cause she sort of lost her "essence" in this one after being grabbed by the thin man. She isn't whole anymore. The fact the amount of TVs scattered everywhere shows how many times mono tried to save himself and start over but every time, he failed and was betrayed by his own kindness and turned into the one thing he hated, depression, anguish and vengeance, and the saddest thing is, it repeats and repeats until he eventually dies. @@connorbraun7305 some people said this before, but i don’t think six is necessarily a bad person, she just indulges on her dark side more than she should. to be completely fair to six, she is a pure survivalist in a situation which requires those skills. without her ability to push for survival, then she wouldn’t have gotten through LN1. she also probably lacks the ethical boundaries we have due to her situation in a “nightmare”. her breaking the mannequins fingers (in my opinion of course) seemed like her assuring their safety, since the mannequins kept attacking them. i believe that six has a very dark side, and that combined with many other factors (such as being distorted by the thin man either intentionally or unintentionally, losing the music box that kept her sane, and going through much more that we haven’t seen on screen). another thing is we’ve spent more time with six, so we’ve seen a bit more of what she’s gone through and we haven’t seen as much of that with mono. but (and this is my final point sorry this is so long) whenever she and mono get into a calm situation, she’s rather gentle and caring towards him. idk i think she’s a morally grey person, not a bad person

Like, notice how he was ONLY going after six, and when he got her, he tried to stop mono from saving her. At the same time six was trying to break the cycle. The thin man takes her, traps her, and bears a striking resemblance to mono. As far as she is concerned, mono turns into the thin man, when she drops him she isn't trying to trap him in the flesh, but kill him, to stop him from becoming the thin man in the future. That final look isn't her glaring at mono, she is conflicted over what to do. Kill her friend and break the loop, stopping him from becoming the thin man (in her mind), or pull him up and have him live to become the main antagonist.

All id like to say is mono wears a hat/mask the entire time and when sis drops him that's the first time she sees his face. In my opinion, that isn't an accident and she dropped him because she recognized his face as the thin man. (you can also see she holds on to him not wanting to let go for a while before she lets go for her safety) Also, it would probably add extra thought in her brain that he isn't as kind as she thought by the fact their last interactions were him letting her get kidnapped and he destroyed her most precious item (the music box) (he didn't do anything wrong, she recognized his face and then used those things as extra reasons) also I can explain any extra insistence people use to "prove shes evil as well if anyone's interested) Another yhing i think adds to that as well is 1, even when six is her monster state when she sees somthing she fears to harm her or her music box she shreaks in fear. Her first reaction is to cower before she trys to defend herself. 2 after she drops mono she stands up slowly and walks away almost as if she is still processing and mourning what just happened. He was her only family for all we know. Thats why when she dropped him it took her long after to decide even after she reconized him.

i think thats a pretty accurate description. based on her body language, it seems like shes acting more out of fear and upset than anything. that in mind, i think something a lot of people overlook is that her perspective on things is most likely different than ours. i mean, we only see things through monos perspective. so to him, he may think the music box is bad and must be destroyed so that he can save six from herself. but to six, she may see it as mono destroying her safety and comfort. and by extention, her trust in him. she may not have understood what happened, and that destroying the music box would turn her back to normal. and hell, maybe she wouldnt even want to be turned back if she did know. i mean, at that point shes the same size as everything that terrorized her and mono, so now she has a much better chance of protecting herself and what she cares about. i imagine thats something she wouldnt want to let go.

Yeah, the shadow is her soul, I think, hence why she gets so hungry and seems to be so heartless. Her goodness and her soul were taken from her when she was dragged into the digital universe of the signal tower. Maybe why she turned into a corrupted being, and maybe why the Thin Man, or grown up Mono, also seems evil or corrupted, the signal tower takes away your goodness, innocence, and your ability to sympathize with others, hence why Six was messed up. Six was also messed up before the signal tower, but I think that was from years of abuse, neglect, and independence.

The ending of mono accepting the fate of being turned into the tall man to me is like he accepting the reality of adulthood and the judgement of other people about everything you do, say and think, hence the eyes looking at him and consuming him. Also all the tv's are a way for you to get away from the "horror" of responsibility witch traps you in a way. The guys falling could be depression and mono being stuck in a room could be representing an office or just his life in general. That's how most adults feel like and the fact that the tall man is trying to capture them is probably related to the time travel thing or just that maybe he already seen how they would turn up and so he was preventing mono from becoming him and trying to push six away since she was already in a bad state and would probably corrupt him as well. Either that or he was corrupted himself and didn't like the idea of anyone being different from him.

This video is two years old now but I can't see any comments mentioning that glitchy Six is actually in Little Nightmares. Whenever Six eats something in Little Nightmares there's a little glitchy shadow figure of Six standing and watching her eat the thing that she's eating. I didn't know if anyone had caught that or made the connections there but it totally clicked with me when I saw it. This story created the Six that we all know and love/hate in the first game... that and obviously the hunger. I feel like being pulled into the TV and creating the glitchy Six/separating parts of herself left a hole that couldn't be filled.

She recognised Mono as the Thin Man who had put her into this horrible situation in the first place, so she drops him because she's scared he'll grow up and become the Thin Man. Unfortunately what she didn't know is the act of betraying Mono is *exactly what* made him grow into the Thin Man. His TV powers seem to get stronger to the extent where he can travel back in time through the TVs, enticing Mono to tune in and free him by opening the door, so he can come out and take Six to exact revenge for her betrayal, which would theoretically prevent this horrific bootstrap paradox, but Mono doesn't know the Thin Man is him and the Thin Man himself probably has a corrupted mind with the one goal to capture Six for revenge. He chases Mono further because he knows he'll try to come and save Six which is what caused Mono to become him, so he's trying to save himself from becoming the Thin Man

This is one of my favorite endings to a game, ever. The realization, that the thin man is Mono, and that he was never after Mono, but rather he was after Six, and then trying to keep you away from her, is so mind blowing. Look at what old Mono did, he chased after you and Six, when he got them corrnered in that room, he had to have known they were both in there, but he did not want Mono, why would he? Six is the key to his creation. Her dropping Mono is why he exists. This game does the ultimate misdirection, of making you forget, Six is evil. She kills without mercy, it does not matter who gets in her way, she will kill them, for food or for survival. Do i think she never cared for Mono? No, i think Mono could have been her first friend, but just her nature took over, that was why she dropped him. He was of no use now, she was across, why hold on to what you dont need? And look at what the thin man did with Six, he did not kill her. Rather he did what she did to him, locked her deep away, subdued with her music box, to grow and deform, unable to hurt anyone again. But Mono couldn't know that, he was trying to help his friend, only to realize it is a loop, far too late.

i personally believe the reason six "betrayed" mono is a way of revenge she had her own room at the end, happy with her music box as can be and trusting mono to see her music box and then suddenly he destroys it so she's like " what the fuck dude" when she becomes "normal" again she kinda gives you the same look she gave the porcelain children before killing it at the school, a look of disgust (granted you can't see her face) another theory is she let go of mono because she knew he would become the thin man, and was afraid so she let go some theories for why mono (thin man version) took six was due to the "betrayal" wanting her to feel pain of loneliness (even though she seemed happier) another is he wanted to protect her or he felt lonely again and wanted his best friend back there's many theories honestly, but in all i absolutely love little nightmares 2 the first one is just 🧍mf i swear i love it but the movement mechanics and that one achievement i swear but the second game, will always be my favorite game of all time it's so beautiful and just the music it makes me shake with happiness as i talk about it and KAJDJFBC

Hear me out when Mono finds Six, she is trapped, terrified, and clinging to her music box. Six lets Mono fall into the abyss at the end of the game, creating the thin man, who has grown up alone and angry - seeking revenge against the girl who has sealed him to this fate. When the thin man finally captures Six, he bans her to a nightmare as punishment... A nightmare in which she is trapped, terrified, and clinging to her music box... Exactly how he found her in the beginning of the game. Point being, the thin man knew exactly in what situation Six would feel the most scared and vulnerable, and he used this against her in order to exact his revenge.

Jack I don’t know if you ever noticed but in each “hunger” part of the first game there is a dark shadowy version of six watching them eat so your theory of the tv\dark six being there evil may be correct

i got it : So just to be clear This game is as a whole a prequel to the first game (the devs said its a sequel.....to very little nightmares) (It goes like this: Very Little Nightmares, LN2, LN comics (yes there are comics), And then Little Nightmares 1 and DLC) Thin man always was Mono, and the tower disfigures those who enter the Signal Tower, and it fuels on negative emotions or memories and traps them by using their good memories against them (it did this to six via music box because it makes her calm) every time mono smashes it he remembers saving six when they met, and He basically throughout the end of this game went under a transformation same as everyone especially Six went Even in everything in all games and comics. (years didnt go by time doesnt even matter in this world The Signal Tower Claims everyone even without absorbing them.........via TV or looking at the tower or entering it's bowels only to be trapped) Apparently souls are echos of the past of what the world was like and mono was able to absorb these echos via glitching remains thats why young mono was able to beat thin man mono, plus (thin man was weaker due to six absorbing mono in the ending at least most of his power) When thin man grabbed six it left an echo of herself (its half of her soul since glitching remains are souls) that helps mono, (She also appeared with six in the first game...every time she eats and every time she shows up she is a reminder of when six was with mono through glitch look and soon just general dark six look) and she eats living beings because the power she absorbed demands soul energy and that's the part six non longer has and morals were basically thrown away six isnt evil....shes demanded to survive by consuming soul energy filling the whole glitch six isnt part of anymore The tower utilizes whats left of monos power and affects the world even more around him (and is the cause of the world being so....little nightmares like) and just like six and everyone else it changed him leaving him forever suffering trapped and angry So the time loop is cause by transmissions from the tower (kinda) it doesn't just warp worlds it also defies and affects time, the thin man left an opening to lure his past self due to his leftover power able to reach out beyond past, present, and future, (via TV Transmissions in any timeline: secrets of maw DLC ending as proof for first game ) despite still being trapped he was eventually let out by Mono after opening the door in the Transmission connecting to the Tower, he didn't hesitate to try to get six and mono and Kill them because of what happened (and to prevent the world being what it is because of the two), so he trapped six and left her in the tower instead using the powers he had in LN2 to leave after young mono opened the door to his prison (within the tower) however he fails every time and since then is stuck in this loop he made for himself. He will ALWAYS fail because his Younger self will always be more powerful then him. Six actually absorbed mono's power without eating him (instead by just touching him) because that was her original power...she absorbed enough of his power just so she can leave (she let go of him. Because she did trust him but there were many reasons why she let go: yes he always saves her but she was even in the beginning always in a perilous and scarring journey, she got captured several times and was left to suffer for a bit, and she was the reason pulling mono away from the tv because mono could have used his powers and thus losing her trust, and also there's a chance that she connected Thin man to being Mono since they both have similar powers. However because of this now, there is a drawback to what she did, (secret ending to LN2: six absorbed monos power because she didnt need him to escape however this new power even if its small is new to her body and it changed her completely, she lost her morals, and more importantly half of her soul thanks to the influence of the tower and mono's powers now its replaced by hunger....endless hunger) and thus LN1 begins So apparently the Signal Tower is some kind of SCP cryptid type ....entity it is responsible for the deformities of the world and the people...ALLL of the monstrous designs were caused by the tower even powers anyone has gained. The tower is apparently made of flesh inside (the eye symbols around the game made sense if you saw the endless flesh mass it always have eyes) No one knows how the tower is there but WHY it does what it does is to apparently absorb life force of the people and eventually absorb their entire bodies part of the mass in the tower (evidenced by leftover clothes) also its clearly affecting them through it's transmissions because every time they "Watch" their life forces get drained either by TV or through staring at the tower it can suck their life out (the line up of guys some players claim to commit suicide) and eventually their bodies also disappear) and eventually it will suck their bodies in leaving their clothes behind As of a current timeline: Six still killed the lady and probably left (LN1) And there's a chance mono might have or will escape his time loop (he failed already every time you play the game and win) thanks to LN1 DLC ending Hopefully via DLC or 3rd game i think six will fight Thin Man considering his prison defies time and space via transmissions What I said is a bit rough but check out superhorrorbro for more detailed lore) Side note: If you ever played Very little nightmares thats where you meet six...as a side character, and the girl you play (everyone called her five) But she is known as "The girl in the Raincoat". She is someone completely different and has a raincoat, with a hairstyle, six eventually escapes and simply didn't wear the raincoat, and it just washed up in the Pale city in Little Nightmares 2 thats why Six reacts that way when she wore it in the first place, she remembered the events prior to Very Little Nightmares

My theory is. That six realized that it's all mono's nightmare so she had to do something about it, after she left mono she went to the Maw to take the lady's powers, as we can see her sucking the life of the visitors without even touching them, that's what she's gonna do to the tower when she'll come back to save mono.

As soon as I realized this was the prequal I knew Mono would end up with a fate worse than death. I was right. And now Mono is forever trapped in a continuous loop, constantly being defeated by his younger self. (Played the game twice already, nearly 3 times. The 3rd time I wanted to get all the collectables and get all the achievements. Turns out you have to wear a certain Hat per chapter to get a different achievement. Also you need a special add on to get the gnome hat.).

it's so cool to be able to look back at all of the foreshadowing knowing the ending. mono's time in solitary confinement is shown in certain rooms on each section throughout the game (like the "time out" rooms in the school section). i wonder if the number of years/days marked on the wall would've been accurate if they were counted in those rooms?

That "glitchy six" is actually six's soul. When six was captured by the tall man her soul left her body. That's why at the end when six's soul died she became hungry. She's trying to eat to fill her emptiness because her soul is gone.

Bro when mono took his bag off in my first play through i knew instantly that he was the young version of the tall guy... Thats what i love so much about these games, the storytelling, symbolism, and foreshadowing is just so damn good that it makes sense even when it is so strange and out of the blue, and you see it coming even though it just seems crazy and they never even give any information or exposition, they just give you a feeling.
