This weekend I’m going to pick up a shell for my car that got wrecked and I thought of using this same technique in moving it but watching you actually do it by yourself makes me feel way more confident, thanks for the vid

Nice! Can take some concepts here and apply to my upcoming move project. Picking up an 81 Toyota pickup that has frame rails chopped from the cab back and no front axle at all. Should be able to make it work with a few jacks, a hoist and some jack stands.

Absolutely, take some scrap wood or something that you can use as skids to help it slide also.

For sure! I have to be mindful because what I’m loading will become a rock crawler so, minimal damage is ideal.

Dude you left a couple of perfectly good windows ,dash, airbag and other parts lol nice video overall

I wish I had space to store it all, I hate taking them to scrap with good parts still in them, door, windows, hoods, interior parts, etc. But I just don't have enough space to store them long term until everything sells and unfortunately that mean a lot of good parts end up getting scrapped. Someday I'll have a storage yard so I can keep them longer term and get more parts sold.

@@MohawkMotors yeah man I feel it, I’m quickly running out of space too, stripping my cars so I definitely know . Especially the bigger parts , just gotta hold on to the fast movers and higher resale value parts

Sorry brother, I've increased my tooling and capability since I made this, doubt I would ever have the need to load another vehicle with no wheels on it.

Did you have to do everything but in reverse at the scrap yard? Or did they pick it up with a fork lift?
@MohawkMotors Жыл бұрын
They lift it off with a big excavator at the scrap yard.
