Said she was going to ask her supervisor, who will be at least another person not answering real emergency calls, who knows how many she had to ask, interrupting them from taking calls. Surely, some training around what drone pilots can do legally would be a better use. Even an A4 sheet near their screens would help. And in big bold letters should read somewhere to be read to the caller, "You committed an offence by calling us for this, non emergency." Can you stay on the line so we can take your details, please 😂😂

There is a penalty for wasting Police time, it's never used as it may deter people from making genuine calls, even if the Police tried to press charges, CPS wouldn't do anything as being "not in the public interest".

There are already routes for enforcing penalties for wasting police time; it’s up to the police to follow through. The problem with widely implementing such penalties is that some people who are genuinely unsure if a crime is being committed will be fearful of calling the police in case they are fined.
