Noaberkracht ditch maintenance

You seem to look after your roads and verges much better than the UK, I know the ditches are more important to you to prevent flooding. It's amazing there isn't a queue of traffic behind them. Great video!

Well, this is a (quiet) road on the countryside. So traffic won’t be a big issue here. This side of the country is about 40 metres above sealevel, so flooding isn’t any different than the UK I guess. I think it’s just a matter of a gouvernement that maintains and regulates, well, almost everything 😉 Needless to say that watermanagement always has been a big thing in the Netherlands, it’s even the first form of regional gouvernement that was introduced in the Netherlands if I’m not mistaken.

@@LJM85 We have lots of "quiet" roads near us - but as soon as you start to do something blocking the road 10 cars appear ! I am a recovery operator and get that problem all the time!

@@martingardener90 Hehe. Well, as you can see the road isn’t completely blocked. Usually there is a way to pass, with some patience offcourse.

We have too ... Netherlands is alot of water as you know.... its all low land here so to prevent flooding and stuff this is the solution.
