Enjoying the wonderful acoustics in Boston’s Jordan Hall with some of JSBach’s Chaconne.
Bach passed away on this day in 1750.
A little fun fact: Did you know that the manuscript for the 6 Sonatas and Partitas by Bach was discovered in 1814 in St. Petersburg among a stack of old paper destined to be used as wrappings in a butter shop?! Imagine the insurmountable loss to the music world had these beautiful manuscripts been lost!
