Clearly the Word of God stands forever. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever. But then we read in English translations of Genesis chapter 9 verse 3 that something odd appears to be happening regarding the definition and permissions of food. Because some like to use this verse to suggest that the Word of God can change, we need to fully examine this verse and discover the truth. We need to test everything.

“Remeś” is also used in Genesis 6:20 where God told Noah to get two of every kind. We know that only the unclean animals were just two of each, whereas the clean were in 7 pairs each. In Genesis 7:2, there’s a distinction made between the clean and unclean animals, but “remeś” is not used. “Remeś” is used again in 7:23 when it says how all life was wiped out. It does make a distinction between livestock (behêmāh), remeś, and bird (‘ōwp) of the air. You certainly wouldn’t say the flood wiped out just the livestock, birds, and clean animals, but you would include unclean in there too. So in the context of Genesis 9, where EVERY creature will have fear and dread of man, and they are ALL given unto our hand, it’s safe to say that “remeś” in verse 3 applies to all animals. Moses didn’t use the word for clean “hattehōwrāh” that is found in 7:2, so it’s safe to assume that we’re not limited to just clean animals.

In this case how would you reconcile that the law never changes? That the law didn't change but that some laws are only for children, some only for husbands, and some laws are only for a specific group of people? Shalom

I was always stumped with this one. Not only was Noah (seemingly) permitted to eating unclean animals but also all green plants which would include poisonous ones. And, why would only between the time after the flood and the time of Moses unclean animals and poisonous plants be permitted to eat but after Moses until even now they are not? This doesn't line up with the rest of Scripture so I suspected it had something to do with translation.

You dont see the restrictions until after they exit Egypt. This was a covenant and sign between God and Israel (Deut 5:1-3 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that you may learn them, and keep, and do them. [2] The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. [3] The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.). The clean and unclean distinction was most likely for sacrifice we see Abel and Cain making sacrifice in Gen and the sacrifice had to be clean (which means pure) animals just as Christ being the sacrificial lamb was pure clean without blemish. Theres different laws some were meant only for the Jews some for all like moral laws are for all, Christians are to treat others morally. If you look at Hebrews 8 and 9 you see the old covenant is made obsolete by a new covenant that the ordinances in the first covenant were a temporary foreshadow.

@@John52416 I am not so sure about that, especially with the treatment of the prophecies in Isaiah 65/66, Zechariah 14, and Ezekiel, 37-48. The millennial kingdom uses those same laws that the Catholic Roots say is abolished. The covenant was the promises, which were improved by Christ's better promises. The Law + the Spirit = True obedience (two gifts of Shavuot/Pentacost).

Exactly! Even in google translate it says “insects” but people want to follow their evil desires. For those bending the Word: zengerz VEGAN was God’s COMMAND in EDEN WHEN he created them in a VEGAN world to be our COMPANIONS & told us to steward them not eat them! The devil caused creation to turn on itself via the curse and the Bible says not to conform to the pattern of this world (aka the devil’s world)- God have MANNA (heavens food /bread/seed) to the Israelites for 40 years and struck them with a plague when they demanded quail and ate it)... it will be vegan again in The Holy Mountain as it is in heaven and as we are told to pray in the Lord’s Prayer (THY will be done!). Gen 9:3 only have a concession to eat REMES which translates as INSECTS as per John eating locusts because He knee the concession and it was not meat. He also says in Gen 9:5 that He requires are lifeblood at the hands of the animals we kill/eat, that He requires MERCY not sacrifice, never desired sacrifice, took vengeance for animals that were terrorized in Lebanon, does not want the animals of Ninivevah to die, says he cares for all HIS animals, knows when even a sparrow falls, says that humans have no advantage over animals for “all is vanity” , speaks AGAINST ego and that the animals are HIS. Peters vision in Acts was about racism and accepting and preaching to the Gentiles if people actually read the whole story and Leviticus 17 says that killing an animals outside the tent of meeting as a sacrifice back to God was “imputes with blood guilt” or in other words guilty of murder as per THOU SHALT NOT KILL. Since God later says over a DOZEN times that He never commanded sacrifice Jer 7:23 & more , that He requires mercy NOT sacrifice Matt 9:13, Matt 13:7, Hos 6:6 then that would mean that the meat eating that went along with sacrifice only was also. It allowed or desired. So then as a Christian, why are you NOT vegan??? Christ is mercy and there’s NOTHING merciful about killing God’s innocent creatures created with the breath of God to be our companions and give God praise (for all creation with breath praise) and cause then suffering?? That’s not the heart of Christ. “For they know my words but their hearts are far from me.” Bless this girl for truly knowing mercy and LIVING it. Anyone saying veganism is “not a Godly doctrine” is calling God a liar as He clearly commanded a VEGAN NONVIOLENT world in Gen 1:29 and scripture says God does NOT change. Also if the beginning and end where God REIGNS is vegan then why would any Christian conform to the world in between that’s run by the enemy?? Why eat demonic sacrifices of blood and pain and suffering and torment?? In Habakkuk God said “because you terrorized the animals , their terror will now be yours”. We are now in the midst of a global pandemic from ANOTHER virus DIRECTLY caused by ppl eating animals in China. This keeps happening as does climate change from our list for flesh destroying the planet, releasing gases, destroying God’s land and water as we serve our evil desires instead of God’s holiness and life and bringing heaven to earth. Christians need to wake up. Mistranslations and false teachings have led them to contribute to the world’s horrors. Eden will be restored and we are the stewards . How will you be vegan in the Holy Mountain if you speak against it incorrectly now?? The 13 + verses saying God never wanted sacrifice debunks ANY sacrifice in the Bible supporting meat eating. Even if it didn’t, meat eating in the Bible was only from sacrificed animals and Jesus ended ALL sacrifices , hence no killed animals to eat. Let’s at least follow common sense if you’re not going to read the Bible properly. There is also IRREFUTABLE evidence by the truckloads that veganism is healthier and leads to linger lives while animal products are PROVEN scientifically and with STATISTICS to cause 80-90% of human fatalities via cancer, heart disease, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer’s, clogged arteries & more plus causes sexual dysfunction (hindering “be fruitful and multiply”), skin , fertility , sight issues, osteoporosis, bad breath, leaky gut, tooth decay and more . God warns us of all this in Genesis 9:5 “I will require your blood at the hands of the animals [that you kill]” which was further demonstrated in the declining lifespans of the Bible as people continued to eat meat. From over 800 years of Noah down to 120 years to less today. Study to find yourselves approved.

@@nickymiranda2237 Ephesians 2 says we are grafted into Israel, not Noah. If someone wants to go back to Eden, then let them be nude vegans. Christ would've partook of the Passover Lamb in his lifetime, and that required the eating of meat. He also said he did not come to abolish the Law of God, which includes the dietary instructions. If you don't want to eat meat, that's fine. If you do, there's perimeters instilled by our loving Father. Until heaven and earth pass away, the law still stands.

In the section between 4:08-5:16 you make the point that the Law of God (the Law of Moses) has always existed and been known by humans since Adam and Eve’s days. How then do we interpret this: “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, ‘And to seeds,’ as of many, but as of one, ‘And to your Seed,’ who is Christ. And this I say, that **the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.”** ~Galatians 3:16-18 which says that the law came 430 AFTER Abraham? Or, “For **until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses,** even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.” ~‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ Which says that sin was in the world in the time until the law, but sin is not imputed where there is no law, but nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses (who gave the law) anyway? I’m not saying this is an argument against keeping the Law of Moses. I’m simply “testing everything” by weighing your claim that mankind always had the law from the time of Adam against Scripture to see if it balances the scales or if it doesn’t weigh out right.

I appreciate the explanation of the definition of the Hebrew word _remes_ and how it relates to the Flood account and the permanency of God's law, but I was hoping for more explanation as to _how_ Noah knew what clean and unclean animals were. Was the Law revealed to mankind sometime before the Flood? Were Adam and Eve familiar with the Law? If the Law was known before the Exodus, why did Yahweh give it to the Hebrews at Mount Sinai? Was the Law passed down orally from Adam to his descendants until finally being committed to writing sometime after the Exodus? I would really appreciate an answer to these questions. Thank you!

No one ate animals in the Old Testament before Noah. The distinction between clean and unclean was ceremonial for their sacrifices to God. This is why Noah was instructed to take more of the clean animals onto the ark. They were required to continue their sacrificial practices while on the ark. When leaving the ark, God instructed them that they are now allowed to eat animals. He did not need to specify, clean and unclean, because they were already aware of what animals were clean and unclean. before the flood, animals had no fear of human beings, because they were not prey to be eaten. That is why God specified after the flood that animals will now have a fear of man. Man began to eat meat after the flood. They were not meat eaters before the flood. it is very clear in the Bible

If God does not change (which of course is absolutely true) then God's perfect will never changed. And God's perfect will is clearly stated in Genesis 1 as well as in the prophetic scriptures about the future Edenic world God will restore, such as Isaiah 11:6-9. In other words, Gods' true intent, our true God-given diet is not animal flesh of any kind. It was fruit and vegetation, food from the earth. (Genesis 1:29-30) Flesh eating is a result of this being a fallen world. Flesh eating is NOT God's perfect will, and it will come to an end. Sadly, it seems that you along with 98% of Christians have a blindspot on this topic, probably because flesh eating has been so deeply ingrained and most people can't even imagine giving up eating their beloved meat dishes.

Fun fact: in the Septuagint version when Cain brought the fruit of the ground, it explains that he brought the wrong amount for the first fruit offering. It wasn't what he brought that was the problem, it was that he didn't divide the portions properly according to God's commandment.

It doesnt change but God can do things differently according to his plan. Example he's made different covenants one with Noah then a different one with Abraham. Following the exit from Egypt he made a different covenant with Israel and for Christians he made a different covenant through Christ. You can see something similar with foods. Gen 1 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. Plants gathered for both to eat on the ark considering the text in Gen 1 and the fact that no other animals were being taken on the ark. Gen 6 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them.” After the flood he added animals Gen 9 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. If animals were already food he wouldn't have to tell them they'd already know. The clean and unclean distinction was for sacrifice only pure animals were accepted the Hebrew word for clean is ţâhôr (pure). The restrictions weren't given before the exit from Egypt. Deut 5 And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.

A covenant is separate from commandments. Just because God didn't make the same covenant with other people at other times doesn't mean the commandments were different. A few of the specifics were different because of entering the land and setting up the tabernacle, etc. But others were already in place from the beginning.

Thanks for the video teaching, but I wonder about the notion of the Mosaic law being merely the written form of divine law that was already in place. What about Abraham marrying his half sister? What about Jacob having two wives (plus concubines)? Were these sins? Even the laws of priesthood appear to have changed from Melchizedek to Levi, and now Melchizedek again through the spiritual priesthood of the messiah.

Upon the invite to test this teaching, well remes is not used for clean animals at all. It's it's own category. In Ez 8:10 for example, it's used next to abominations and idols in the temple. While I do eat clean and love All of Yahs words, this teaching isn't correct. As another commenter mentioned, the lack of enough clean animals or green foods may have been why Yah said that. And to give the hard hearted an excuse to eat what they want

Moses in Deut 5.3 clearly said "It was not with our ancestors that the LORD made this covenant, but with us, with all of us who are alive here today." The covenant in question is the Mosaic or Sinai covenant that INTRODUCED for the very first-time things like food laws. And the Hebrew REMES is used broadly for all living things, as per Gen 1.25, 28, etc. Robert Alter, professor of Hebrew in his commentary adds: In Genesis 9:3, remes must indicate all kinds of animals because Noah's diet is surely not restricted to reptiles and insects. Here, the initial romes seems to mean "crawling things," because it stands in contradistinction to "every beast," whereas romes in the next clause summarizes the catalogue that precedes it, which includes birds.

I don't agree with the information about those onboard the ark not eating meat. I believe they were instructed to bring 7 pairs (I believe pairs, not just 7 in total) of "clean" animals (which you read in this video) in Genesis 7:2. Thus, that would be more feasible for Noah and his family to consume meat along with other predatory animals that needed to eat meat. I was just referred the book "Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study" by John Woodmorappe. I haven't read it yet, but it's probably worth a read. Unfortunately, this video makes me skeptical of your teachings. Be careful 119 ministries.

The way our minds work we would assume that carnivores would still be eating meat on the arc but God could easily change their appetite with the blink of an eye just how he miraculously led all these animals to the arc , At the same time if any unclean animal would have been consumed on the arc that animal would now be extinct, To where they definitely started to consume clean animals after exiting the Ark (possibly before) and most definitely some unclean animals were killed by other animals off the ark being extinct at this point 🙏💯❤️📖
