Standout NYC pianist Noah Haidu joins forces with jazz icons Buster Williams and Billy Hart on his soulful and expressive new album STANDARDS II. Haidu launched this project in 2021 as a tribute after Keith Jarrett’s announced retirement from performing. Since then Noah’s trio concerts and recordings have allowed him to refine and personalize his own voice on this unique repertoire. Recently Noah has toured with various jazz legends and the national media has focused on him as a force to be reckoned with. The Wall Street Journal described Haidu’s tribute as “buoyant and free like a pent-up spirit released” while Downbeat Magazine called it “A stunning and heartfelt tribute.” The new album arrives on the heels of Standards (2023, Sunnyside Records) which reached #4 in the national radio charts and topped numerous 'best of the year' lists. His recent Keith Jarrett tributes were included in Downbeat Magazine’s Best Albums of the year issue while his album/film/book project DOCTONE was the subject of an NPR feature heard around the country.
