I never liked his hat anyway.
Rules:
- EXP gain must be minimised, limited to forced encounters where possible
- Using Bright Might or Dark Might for guaranteed crits is forbidden
- Use of demons from the Maniax/Chronicle release is forbidden (This includes Fiends, Beelzebub, Black Frost, Futomimi, Metatron, Sakahagi and Dante/Raidou)
- The goal is to collect all Magatama and achieve the True Demon Ending
Noah is another gimmicky fight but he at least preserves his gimmick through both his phases, in fact he doubles down on it. To begin with he has no unusual resistances and does nothing but normal attacks but after dealing a bit of damage to him he will cast Aurora which will align him with a certain element. He will then only cast spells of that element. Additionally he will nullify all attacks against him that aren't of the opposing element (so if he casts fire spells you can only attack him with ice etc.). He always cycles through elements in the set order of fire-ice-electricity-force. You can't cheese him with almighty damage because he is one of two enemies in the whole game that resists it. This means your team needs access to all 4 elements if you don't want to have to wait for him to cycle his elements to one that you can attack. I've been prepping for this one for a little while. Once he enters his second phase he reflects all attacks that are not the opposite of his current element which importantly means that Pierce will stop working. He will also switch to using spells that target the party instead of single targets and gains access to Dekunda and Dekaja (although he very rarely uses them) and his unique attack Domination which drains a large amount of HP and MP. Overall he's not that hard but he forces you to pay attention.
