@@haroldblevins8567 this is true, but this is also Noah Lyles about which you’re talking. Remember, Bolt faded in his final stage, and Noah seems superhuman in his final stage. If someone is at 14.41 seconds at 150, this is world record pace all day. Think, average out 14.41 per 50M and that’s 4.80s. Add another 4.80s and that’s 19.21. But here is the kicker…the first 50M were obviously way off the average due to starting from a complete stop, so, that means his average speed is faster than 4.80s per 50, and we know Noah is amazing and seems to pull away even more in that final 50! So, early season for Noah (notice, Noah never, ever peaks early…he doesn’t even peak by trails time), already 150M WR pace, much faster start, etc….I’m expecting 9.6X from him this year if he takes it seriously, and if not the 200M WR, very close to it. We have to put tons of respect on Bolt’s times and understand these are not easy!

I think the 150m should be an actual track event. I think it’s measures the fastest person better than the 100m (very dependent on the start) and the 200m (requires technique to run around the turn and some endurance)
@wisforwinnerАй бұрын
Lmao definitely not, as it is the 100m is mostly dominated by sprinters with better top end speed and speed maintenance as opposed to better starters. Don’t tell me that a 150m is more fair than the 100m, in no world does a starter do better than a closer in the 150m
@SkillSpire13Ай бұрын
@@wisforwinner there's runners like Christian Coleman that do well in the 100m because of their start. If you look at his 100m races, he's way of head of the competition at the start. That's why he holds the world record for the indoor 60m. Whereas there's runners like Noah Lyles and Usain bolt who have a much better top end speed but their start isn't necessarily the best. If they have a bad start (which Noah usually has) they have to close in on their opponent. That's why 200m was both of their main event before they started getting better at starts and moved to the 100m as well. It's because in the 200m, it's not as start dependent, they will always have time to reach their top end speed which will help separate them from their competition.

@FlipFighter8 ай бұрын
Speed = Distance / Time. m/s for meters per second, m for meters and s for seconds. Noah lyles' AVERAGE speed over the American record for 150m: 150m / 14.41s = 10.41 m/s. Usain Bolt's AVERAGE speed over his 200m world record: 200m / 19.19s = 10.42 m/s. Therefore if Noah Lyles maintained that AVERAGE speed of 10.41 m/s from the 150m race into the 200m race instead, he would of got a time of APPROXIMATELY 19.21s!!: distance / speed = time so 200m / 10.41 m/s = 19.21s
