I am not English but English is my first language. I can understand how in English new words evolve all the time. New technical words can pop up overnight. I can see that even the spelling of some words may change over a long period of time. However, I am a bit concerned that Noah Webster thought he (alone) could change the spelling of some words because he thought his way was more efficient. For example, if after 200 years Americans decided to change "favour" to "favor" then I would think this is a reasonable to do.
