That's the thing with a lot of these new hi tech synthetic (plastic) boots. They feel just that, like a definite synthetic material around your foot. The boot was perfected with a quality leather upper. And of course you could argue a leather/synthetic mix also works very well. But a lot of these new 'elite' boots are just pieces of plastic that look cool, but aren't that special, or comfortable.

Makes you wonder why the upper of the F50 Messi isn't just the default, cause it's sooooo good compared to the Fibertouch upper. All of the Adidas' special editon releases have had better uppers than their comparative standard versions (Copa Pure 2 v Copa Pure MIG, Predator Elite v Predator Roteiro or David Beckham, F50 v F50 Messi). I honestly can't recall a time a boot maker made ALL of their special editions just straight up better than the regulars.

I love the fact that you always emphasize that is your opinion. Everything that you said is absolutely valid and I agree with it 100%. Now, for my specific foot shape and my liking, the Alphas and these are absolutely the best options out there for me. I am lucky enough to work in a soccer retail store and be able to try most of the boots in the market on, and all I gotta say is that the best boot is the one that fits your needs and wants best, and you compare the options in the market absolutely brilliantly. Keep it up!

Your point on the heel is 100% accurate. Got terrible blisters in these and kept trying to convince myself it was just normal break in. Eventually ended up giving up on the boot altogether. When it comes to the heel brands need to forget the aesthetics and just make it comfy

Noah a bit off topic but have you ever tried the Messi 16.1 from 2016? I've been wearing GX2 for a while now and picked these up on a whim as I never tried them back in the day and to my surprise they are sensational. It might just be that they fit my foot perfectly, but I am really enjoying them, the upper is very soft and moulded to my foot quickly + has that coveted Gambatrax soleplate. I wore them straight into a game on the first wear and they were perfect (note, GX2 is the only other boot I can do that with & these felt even better based on the first wear). I would love to know your thoughts on them one day but appreciate you have a ton of other boots to try XD

I found it quite strange when I saw many of the other KZbin reviewers put up such glowing reviews on the f50 elite, but when I went myself to try it, I was incredibly disappointed. I found them to be significantly worse than the prior crazyfast plus and I actually prefer the speedportal .1 (I know I may be crazy😂). Interestingly I tried the f50 plus and they are soooo much better the upper is way more pliable and I prefer the slight change in shape, additioanlly it has a significantly better heel, much bigger and better molded foam piece. Also the soleplate for me is more aggressive interms of snap back. Great reviews as always man 🙏👍

Hey Noah, I just have a question on the Nike Vapor 16 elites. I am planning on purchasing the new cosmic speed 2 colourway in the bright mango colourway. Previously, I wore a Vapor 15 in a size us10.5, with there being a wee bit of space at the toe, and have recently purchased a pair of GX 2’s in a size us10 and found that they fit pretty much perfect. I’m just wondering if you would advise that I purchase a size us10.5 or 10 pair of cosmic speed 2. Thank you very much and keep up the great content!

I not exactly the biggest white knight for Adidas. For me personally the F50 is a satisfactory boot. It's my favorite Adidas speed boot since the venerable X 19.1. They fit me very well (I have a narrowish foot with an arch), they feel responsive and locked in. The touch has this plasticy charm that I don't mind, it is capable of molding and becoming more pliable unlike the Ghosted.1s. It's a good boot, good if not a little benign. The hype surrounding the F50 was enormous. But it improves in some places some of it's predecessors lacked at times. The fit is improved over the Speedportal and Crazyfast.1, none of this overtly padded heel, really narrow midfoot with a wide toebox and the shallow laces. The F50 wraps around my foot much better. It's more responsive and locked in than the Speedflow.1, which I always thought was sorely lacking on those. It's a good boot, but the competition is stiff. I like the F50s but a I am delighted with the Vapor 16. The Mizuno Alpha is quite impressive. There are many solid options surrounding the F50.

A bit surprised with the 7.5 rating despite your overall comments 😅 though i do agree, these boots have sort of a pre-determined shape so it really depends on your foot shape whether or not these would be good or not. Regardless, the upper just felt a bit too stiff for my liking, started getting blisters on the top of my toes 😬 the break in time is a real challenge 😅

The heel area in this f50 was so bad I had constant blisters on my feet and I kept having more per game, this is so unfortunate cause I bought this boot thinking I had the steal of the century but the heel was just too harsh on my feet, the rest of the boot I loved and I wish I could fit in these. Hey noah, you said that F50 crazy light yamamoto remake is God tier boots, but you didnt make one month review video about it. So Im curious about its stability and the traction, is it really good when we do quick extreme change direction? Is your foot roll over or slippery when you do that manuver because of how thin the upper is? How is stability when doing that move? And how is it compare to reguler f50 2014 remake?
