It's just ANY close committed partnership that exists outside of society's platonic/romantic binary, so you may live together, share finances, even get married or have kids, but not be romantically and/or sexually involved. about the aroace flag - to get purple you need to mix red and blue, and to get green you need to mix yellow and blue. once you mix purple and green together - blue will be the dominating color, so yellow and red are basically killed by blue or cancel each other out iirc. and yes, orange is in between purple and green in the color wheel (sorry if my explanation for the blue one isn’t correct, i’m still learning color theory)

i am omnisexual and i strictly don’t identify with any other labels and i am NOT bisexual , it is very different. however, u did a good job explaining it but i can explain the colors to everyone: dark pink and light pink represent being attracted to femininity. purple (which shows on some flags as black) represents being attracted to other- meaning nonbinary peeps, genderfluid people, etc. dark and light blue represent being attracted to masculinity. another thing about omnisexuality is that many of us have heavy preferences for certain genders or sexes, for example i prefer woman or femininity over other genders but i still have attraction to all.

I Call myself abromantic because my attraction has been very fluid over my life and still does fluctuate. I still call myself bi and arospec, but there are certain times where the idea of dating men grosses me out, or where I only think about men in an attractive way, or when I don’t want a romantic relationship at all. I’m in a committed relationship now so it’s complicated to explain to people (and even my partner) how it’s still possible for my romantic attraction to change, but you can still love a person and want to be with them even as your general attraction shifts

as a demigirl (she/they) I have a very love-hate relationship w/ the flag. some days i like the simplicity and how much grey there is (leaving room for personal interpretation in visuals as well), but then other days I absolutely hate it because it doesn't feel like there's enough color and looks boring/sad 💀

For me regarding abrosexuality i would always put on a label and it would fit; until it didn’t. And I always thought something was wrong with me because i would finally find the ONE then it wouldn’t really be the one anymore. Finding out about Abrosexuality made me realize that this is normal.

“do mlm have a word like sapphic?” yes! its achillean!! it also has its own flag similar to the sapphic one and i love it sm. its kinda debated over bc its seen as some sort of new identity “copying” sapphic and ppl have a misunderstanding of the achilles myth as pedophilic. in actuality the term has been around since the 70s i believe, and in the original achilles myth both achilles and patrocles were around the same age. the term didnt catch on as much as sapphic, but it does exist. also there is a redesign of the polyamory flag! there was a vote i think a year ago now?? that could b wrong tho. the vote was held by the polyamproud organization, and i rly love the flag that was chosen

The AroAce flag which is my flag (although i only recently discovered that we changed it 🙈) is so pretty and I actually love it more than the individual flags because of the lack of grey and black which are boring and depressing 😆 although green and purple are my favourite colours... I'm AroAce, and like the orange & blue flag aesthetically, but really don't understand the colours. Green and purple are pretty much opposite to each other in the colour wheel, so EVERY colour is between them. Orange and blue are hardly special in that regard. If anything, I would have interpreted them as being as far from aro and ace as possible. Oh well.

Looks like we got very different tastes:D I get the sense that Noah loves a lot of bright colors together, while for me too many saturated colors clash. They hurt my eyes lol. I think I like a good mix of bright and pastel or more muted colors, which is why I find the sunset flag and the abro flag so esthetically pleasing.
